Hao Zhihua
Hao Zhihua (), also known as Patti Li, is a Chinese Wushu (sport), wushu practitioner. She started her training at the age of nine at the Beijing Sports Academy under the instruction of Wu Bin (wushu coach), Wu Bin, director of the Beijing Institute for Wushu Research and a pioneer of modern wushu in China. For fifteen years she competed in China as a member of the world-renowned Beijing Wushu Team, winning the title of National All-Around Champion three years in a row. Hao Zhihua is the only person in China's history to have won six gold medals, in addition to one silver medal, in a single national competition. She is also one of only two wushu athletes who have ever received the "Ten Best Athletes in China" award. In total, she accumulated over 80 gold, silver, and bronze medals during her competitive career. Changquan
Chángquán () refers to a family of external (as opposed to internal) martial arts (kung fu) styles from northern China. The forms of the Long Fist style emphasize fully extended kicks and striking techniques, and by appearance would be considered a long-range fighting system. In some Long Fist styles the motto is that "the best defense is a strong offense," in which case the practitioner launches a preemptive attack so aggressive that the opponent doesn't have the opportunity to attack. Others emphasize defense over offense, noting that nearly all techniques in Long Fist forms are counters to attacks. Yang Zhenduo (1926 – 7 November 2020), a native of Yongnian Hsien County, Hebei, was born in Beijing, People's Republic of China, China, into the famous Yang family of martial artists. A son of Yang Chengfu, Yang Cheng Fu and a great-grandson of Yang Luchan, Yang Lu Chan (the creator of the Yang-style t'ai chi ch'uan, Yang style of t'ai chi ch'uan), Yang Zhenduo was a fourth-generation descendant of the Yang Family of t'ai chi ch'uan, and was the fourth lineage-holder of the style. Tai chi (), short for Tai chi ch'üan ( zh, s=太极拳, t=太極拳, first=t, p=Tàijíquán, labels=no), sometimes called "shadowboxing", is an neijia, internal Chinese martial art practiced for defense training, health benefits and meditation. ''Wushu'' (), or ''Kung fu'', is a hard and soft and complete martial art, as well as a full-contact combat sport. It has a long history in reference to Chinese martial arts. It was developed in 1949 in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts, yet attempts to structure the various decentralized martial arts traditions date back earlier, when the Central Guoshu Institute was established at Nanking in 1928.
