Hansa Records
Hansa Records (also known as Hansa, Hansa Musik Produktion or Hansa International) was a record label founded in the 1960s based in Berlin, Germany. Profile The label's most successful act commercially was the German-based band Boney M. with million-selling hits like "Rivers of Babylon", " Brown Girl in the Ring" and " Mary's Boy Child - Oh My Lord". David Bowie mastered '' Low'' and recorded ''Heroes'' at their studio in Berlin. After a decline in sales both domestically and internationally in the mid 80s, Hansa was eventually purchased by Bertelsmann Music Group, who merged them with several other labels like Ariola Records to form BMG Berlin Musik GmbH/ BMG-Ariola, later to become part of international conglomerate Sony Music Entertainment, under which it was phased-out in 2009. Sony Music Entertainment (SME), also known as simply Sony Music, is an American multinational music company. ''Röd'' (Swedish for ''Red'') is the eighth studio album by Swedish alternative rock band Kent. It was released as digital download exclusively through the band's website on 5 November 2009 and physically on 6 November 2009. The first single from the album, " Töntarna", was released as digital download on 5 October 2009. The song "Svarta linjer" was performed on the television talk show Skavlan on 30 October. ''Röd'' is available in a standard edition and a deluxe edition box. The deluxe edition box version features the 11-track CD, a USB flash drive with high quality MP3 files as well as AIFF files, three 10" records which between them contain the whole album, and a 118-page book containing lyrics, abstract pictures and photographs. Depeche Mode are an English electronic music band formed in Basildon, Essex, in 1980. The band currently consists of Dave Gahan (lead vocals and co-songwriting) and Martin Gore (keyboards, guitar, co-lead vocals and main songwriting). Norman was the original lead singer of the English rock band Smokie (band), Smokie, (1964–1986), who found success in Europe in the 1970s. Chilly was a German Euro disco/rock band from 1978 to 1983. They were created and produced by the producer, composer and book author Bernt Möhrle. Their first album "For your Love" included a suite 11:50 (long version) of the song "For Your Love", new recorded with an arrangement by Christian Kolonovits and Bernt Möhrle. The original "For Your Love" was a Yardbirds hit with the beat of 1965, written by Graham Gouldman. Bernt Möhrle added new lyrics and composed additional music to the arrangement "I Walk alone" and the suite became a great international disco hit. Child (band)
Child are a British pop group that released a number of records, including a top-10 single in 1978. The band were originally a four-piece, consisting of Dave Cooper (guitar), Graham Bilbrough (vocals) and twins Keith (bass guitar) and Tim Atack (drums). Following the release of the first four singles Dave Cooper left to form rock band Crash Alley and Mike Mckenzie joined on bass guitar with Keith Atack switching to guitar. Their biggest hit was a cover of the Conway Twitty song "It's Only Make Believe", which was a top ten hit in 1978. Child was reformed by Graham Bilbrough in 2021, with new members of the band Alan Renwick, Andrew Dures and Nigel Greaves. ''Silhouette in Red'' is the tenth studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was released on 11 October 1993, through Hansa Records. The album became Tyler's final collaboration with German producer Dieter Bohlen. The album was released in mainland Europe and was a commercial success. The album was certified Gold in Norway through pre-sales, one day before it was released. ''Bitterblue'' is a pop rock album, described by Dieter Bohlen as "more commercial" than her previous albums. Gaynor Sullivan (née Hopkins; born 8 June 1951), known professionally as Bonnie Tyler, is a Welsh singer who is known for her distinctive husky voice. Tyler came to prominence with the release of her 1977 album '' The World Starts Tonight'' and its singles " Lost in France" and " More Than a Lover". Angletrax was a British new wave/ punk rock group that existed in the late 1970s, who were signed to Germany's Hansa Records label. The members were: Wendy Herman (vocals), Martin Heath (bass), Lin Jammet (guitar), Jerry Minge (keyboards), Dan Who (drums). In 1979, the band released an EP entitled ''"Things To Make And Do"'' and the LP ''"Angletrax"'' with the following songs: ''Silent Majority, Things to Make and Do, Why Not, Shepherds Bush, Bad Mood, Mental Block, Monica, Private Life, God and Chips, Propaganda Man, I to I, Preconceptions'' The LP was released on Hansa'a Ariola label with number AHAL 8009.
