Hans Petter Lundgaard
Hans Petter Lundgaard (born 15 May 1935) is a Norwegian jurist born in Oslo. Career He was employed as a university lector at the University of Oslo from 1963, and took over as leader of the Norwegian Bureau for Insurance Disputes in 1971. In 1973 the position of Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman was created. Inger Louise Valle held the position for many years, but while she was a member of the cabinet Nordli from 1976 to 1981 Lundgaard was acting Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman. Valle left in 1981, and Lundgaard got the job on a permanent basis. In 1986 he was appointed as a presiding judge (''lagdommer'') in the Eidsivating Court of Appeal, later moving to Borgarting The Borgarting was one of the major popular assemblies or things (''lagting'') of medieval Norway. The Norwegian Consumer Ombudsman ( no, Forbrukerombudet) is a government-appointed ombudsman in Norway for consumer affairs. The office was established in 1973 with Inger Louise Valle as the first holder. The office of the consumer ombudsman sees to it that the marketing of goods and services is done in accordance with marketing law. Inger Louise Valle
Inger Louise Valle (28 November 1921 – 21 May 2006) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party, particularly noted for her efforts to reform the Norwegian penal system. She is the mother of professor Jan Grund. Biography She represented Akershus in the Norwegian Parliament in the period between 1977-1981. She also served as Minister of Administration and Consumer Affairs 1971-1972 and Minister of Family and Consumer Affairs in 1972, Minister of Justice and the Police 1973-1976 and 1976–1979, and Minister of Local Government Affairs 1979-1980. Valle also served in the local government of Bærum, and was Norway's first Consumer Ombudsman. Kjersti Graver (8 October 1945 – 14 February 2009) was a Norwegian jurist. Personal life She was born in Oslo as the oldest child of Gerd and Odd Graver. She was a granddaughter of Torjus Graver and niece of Petter Graver. She was married to Supreme Court Justice Lars Oftedal Broch, grandson of Lars Oftedal. They resided at Jar.
