Hans Kristian Eriksen
Hans Kristian Eriksen (2 April 1933 – 8 June 2014) was a Norwegian non-fiction writer, magazine editor, novelist and short story writer. Personal life Eriksen was born in Kiberg to fisherman Reidar Kristoffer Eriksen and Elida Helene Malin. He married Erna Stangnes in 1954. Career Eriksen worked as schoolteacher and principal on the Senja (island), island of Senja from 1954 to 1978, when he became a full-time writer and editor, from 1992 as a government scholar. Among his early books are ''Der laks leker – og fugl flyr'' from 1970, ''Sangsvanedalen'' from 1971, ''Gamle Tranøy'' from 1972, and ''Vandrere i grenseland'' from 1973. He wrote several historical books on the Second World War, including ''Partisaner i Finnmark'' from 1969, ''Partisanenes død'' from 1972, and ''Barnet og krigen'' from 1983. Kiberg
Kiberg ( fkv, Kiiperi) is a village in Vardø Municipality in eastern Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located on the eastern end of the Varanger Peninsula, along the Barents Sea. Kiberg is the second largest settlement in Vardø municipality. It is situated about southwest of the municipal centre, the town of Vardø. Kibergsneset (Cape Kiberg) is the easternmost spot on the Norwegian mainland, and it is located just east of the village. Troms (; se, Romsa; fkv, Tromssa; fi, Tromssa) is a Counties of Norway, former county in northern Norway. King's Medal Of Merit
The King's Medal of Merit (Norwegian: ''Kongens fortjenstmedalje'') is a Norwegian award. It was instituted in 1908 to reward meritorious achievements in the fields of art, science, business, and public service. It is divided in two classes: gold and silver. The medal in gold is rewarded for extraordinary achievements of importance to the nation and society. The medal in silver may be awarded for lesser achievements. The medal is suspended from a ribbon in the colours of the Royal Standard of Norway. The medal in gold is ranked eighth in the ranking of Norwegian orders and medals.
