Hans Hartvig-Møller
Hans Hartvig Møller (sometimes also written as ''Hans Hartvig-Møller'') (Nordborg, Als 1873-1953) was the Rector (1909-1943) of Gammel Hellerup Gymnasium (GHG) founded in 1894 and originally a private school exclusively for boys, the founder of student council in Denmark, and one of the founders of Danish Scouting. The ''Elevråd'' student council was first established in Denmark in 1909 at Hellerup Gymnasium at the behest of newly appointed headmaster Hartvig Møller. Hans Hartvig Møller: "Selvstyre i skoler". Student Council
A student council (also known as a student union, associated student body or student parliament) is an administrative organization of students in different educational institutes ranging from elementary schools to universities and research organizations around the world. These councils exist in most public and private K-12 school systems in different countries. Many universities, both private and public, have a student council as an apex body of all their students' organisations. Scouting And Guiding In Denmark
The Scout and Guide movement in Denmark consists of about ten different associations. Most of them are members of two large federations, but there are also some independent organizations. Affiliated to Danish Scouting and Guiding are the organizations in Greenland, on the Faroe Islands and in Southern Schleswig. Scouting in Denmark started in 1909. Danish Scouts were among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM), Danish Guides among the founding members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS). Girl Guiding in Denmark consists of girls only, while some WAGGGS countries allow boys to be included. De grønne pigespejdere is the only association for girls only - all the other organisations are mixed boys and girls. 'Boy Scout' and 'Girl Guide' are both translated to the Danish 'Spejder'. Scouting, also known as the Scout Movement, is a worldwide youth Social movement, movement employing the Scout method, a program of informal education with an emphasis on practical outdoor activities, including camping, woodcraft, aquatics, hiking, Backpacking (wilderness), backpacking, and sports. Fredensborg Municipality
Fredensborg Kommune is a municipality (Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Hovedstaden (Capital Region). The municipality covers an area of 112.13 km2 and has a total population of 39,551 (as of 1 April 2014). Kirsten Lauritzen
Kirsten Lauritzen née Hartvig-Møller (1902–1980) was a Danish philanthropist who is remembered in particular for her efforts to help needy children. They included Finns in the late 1930s, German children after the war (which caused some controversy), Hungarian refugees in 1956 and finally Vietnamese children in 1975. She provided facilities for the elderly, including folk high school courses on the island of Mallorca. Throughout her life, Lauritzen was a strong supporter of the scout movement. Biography Born on 15 June 1902 in the Copenhagen district of Frederiksberg, Kirsten Hartvig-Møller was the daughter of the high-school headmaster Hans Hartvig-Møller (1873–1953) and his wife Karen Sophie née Steenstrup (1872–1956). Cay Lembcke
Cay Lembcke (15 December 1885 – 31 January 1965) was a co-founder of the Danish Boy Scouts Organization in 1910 and the National Socialist Workers' Party of Denmark in 1930.
