Hans Fredrik Grøvan (born 1 November 1953) is a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party. He served as the party’s parliamentary leader from 2019 to 2021. Career Parliament He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Vest-Agder in 2013. He served as a deputy representative to the Norwegian Parliament from Vest-Agder during the term 2001–2005. On 29 January 2019, Grøvan was appointed the party’s parliamentary leader after Knut Arild Hareide resigned from the position. Grøvan ran for re-election for the 2021 election, but lost the nomination to Jorunn Gleditsch Lossius in November 2020. Vest-Agder
Vest-Agder (; "West Agder") was one of 18 counties (''fylker'') in Norway up until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Aust-Agder to form Agder county. In 2016, there were 182,701 inhabitants, around 3.5% of the total population of Norway. Its area was about . The county administration was located in its largest city, Kristiansand. Vest-Agder was a major source of timber for Dutch and later English shipping from the 16th century onwards. Education Lossius has studied christianity, drama/theater and history at the University of Agder. 2021 Norwegian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Norway on 13 September 2021. All 169 seats in the Norwegian legislature, the Storting, were up for election. The election was won by a coalition consisting of the social-democratic Labour Party and the agrarian Centre Party that entered into negotiations to form a government. The election also resulted in a majority for the parties that seek to dissolve the unpopular and controversial Viken county. It saw a big win for the left-wing opposition in an election fought on climate change, inequality, and oil.
