Hans Christian Rylander
Hans Christian Rylander (born 1939, dead 2021) was a Danish painter, educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from 1965 to 1969. He uses an expressive and surreal style, in the 70's and 80's with a critical edge towards society. Rylander has exhibited his works at the Randers Museum of Art, at Storstrøms Kunstmuseum, and at Vejle Museum of Art. A major commission was the decoration in Christian IV's Supply Depot at Slotsholmen in Copenhagen. The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts ( da, Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi - Billedkunst Skolerne) has provided education in the arts for more than 250 years, playing its part in the development of the art of Denmark. History The Royal Danish Academy of Portraiture, Sculpture, and Architecture in Copenhagen was inaugurated on 31 March 1754, and given as a gift to the King Frederik V on his 31st birthday. Its name was changed to the Royal Danish Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in 1771. Fuglsang Art Museum ( da, Fuglsang Kunstmuseum) is an art museum set in rural surroundings in Guldborgsund Municipality on the island of Lolland in Denmark. It is part of the Fuglsang Cultural Centre. The museum features Danish art with an emphasis on artists and motifs of local provenance. Vejle Museum Of Art
Vejle Museum of Art ( da, Vejle Kunstmuseum) in the town centre of Vejle in southeastern Jutland, Denmark has Danish paintings and sculptures from classic modernism up until pre- COBRA on display. The museum is also home to a collection of Golden Age paintings from the Vejle area as well as a collection of drawings, e.g. 50 etchings by Rembrandt. Collection The museum was founded in 1899 when councillor Christian Eckardt donated approx. 2000 drawings. Slotsholmen (English: The Castle Islet) is an island in the harbour of Copenhagen, Denmark, and part of Copenhagen Inner City.
