Hannah Martin (field Hockey)
Hannah Martin (born 30 December 1994) is an English field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for Surbiton and the England and Great Britain national teams. She was educated at Ipswich School. Her brother is Harry Martin who plays for the England and Great Britain national teams. Club career Martin will play club hockey in the 2021-22 season, in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for Hurley. She has been playing in the Women's England Hockey League Premier Division for Surbiton. She has also played for University of Birmingham and Ipswich. International career Martin made her senior International debut against South Africa in February 2017. She has also played for England U-16 (2009–10), U-18 (2011–12) and U-21 (from 2012 to 2016). Ipswich

Harry John Martin (born 23 October 1992) is an English field hockey player who plays as a midfielder for HC Rotterdam and the England and Great Britain national teams. His sister, Hannah Martin is an English field hockey player who plays as a midfielder or forward for England and Great Britain. Club career For the 2021–22 season he returns to play club hockey in the Dutch Hoofdklasse for HC Rotterdam, for whom he enjoyed a successful 2016–17 season. He had been playing in the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division for Hampstead & Westminster. Prior to that, he won the Men's England Hockey League Premier Division title in consecutive seasons with Beeston Hockey Club. England Hockey is the national governing body for the sport of field hockey in England. There are separate governing bodies for the sport in the other parts of the United Kingdom. History and organisation England Hockey was formed on 1 January 2003 to replace the English Hockey Association (EHA) which had had to suspend operations 2002 because of significant financial problems. The English Hockey Association had in turn been formed in 1996 to combine the function of the separate governing bodies for men's, women's and mixed hockey. Women's England Hockey League
The Women's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organised by England Hockey that features women's teams from England. From 2011-2020 it was sponsored by Investec and was referred to as the Investec Women's Hockey League. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of 12 teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April. The league has a winter break between December and February. At the end of the season there are a series of play-offs that decide which teams are promoted and relegated and which team finish as champions.
