Haneef
Muhamed Haneef (born 29 September 1979) is an Indian born doctor who was falsely accused of aiding terrorists, and left Australia upon cancellation of his visa amid great political controversy. His visa was later reinstated and he was given some compensation. Haneef was arrested on 2 July 2007 at Brisbane Airport, Brisbane, Australia on suspicion of terror-related activities. He is the second cousin once removed of Kafeel Ahmed and Sabeel Ahmed, the operatives in the 2007 Glasgow Airport attack. Haneef's ensuing detention became the longest without charge in recent Australian history, which caused great controversy in Australia and India. Haneef was released when the Director of Public Prosecutions withdrew its charge on 27 July 2007, whereby his passport was returned and he departed Australia voluntarily on 29 July 2007. Glasgow Airport Attack
The Glasgow Airport attack was a Vehicle-ramming attack, terrorist ramming attack which occurred on 30 June 2007, at 15:11 Western European Summer Time, BST, when a dark green Jeep Cherokee (XJ), Jeep Cherokee loaded with propane canisters was driven at the glass doors of the Glasgow Airport terminal and set ablaze. The car's driver was severely burnt in the ensuing fire, and five members of the public were injured, none seriously. Sabeel Ahmed
Sabeel Ahmed is a suspect arrested after the 2007 Glasgow Airport attack. He was married to Sarah Fatima, his distant relative, on 21 July 2010 . He studied at the Dr B R Ambedkar Medical College, an affiliated college of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences between 1998 and 2003 and completed his internship in 2003–2004, moving to the UK in November 2004 to pursue higher studies. He is the brother of Kafeel Ahmed, who was also arrested in the aftermath of the attack, and has been variously reported as the second cousin, uncle or brother of Mohammed Haneef, with whom he studied medicine in Bangalore, and who was arrested at the Brisbane Airport on 2 July 2007. Michael Joseph Keelty AO (born 13 July 1954) is a retired Australian Police Commissioner of the Australian Federal Police from 2001 to 2009. He was also the inaugural chairperson of the Australian Crime Commission, now known as the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission. Gold Coast Hospital, located at 98–136 Nerang Street, Southport was, from 1960 to 2013 a major teaching and referral hospital and the third largest in Queensland.
