Hand Of Mercy
Hand Of Mercy were an Australian hardcore band from Sydney, formed in 2007. Formerly signed to the UNFD label. Hand of Mercy released three full-length albums, and two EPs, and toured extensively throughout Australia and internationally. History Hand of Mercy formed when guitarist Adam Mclean and friend drummer Josh Zimmer started playing together. The pair advertised for musicians with similar influences and found guitarist Joshua Campiao. At a Parkway Drive show Josh Zimmer met Scott Bird and invited him to audition as a vocalist. Bird then introduced his friend Adam van den Crust, a bassist. For several years Hand of Mercy played at hardcore venues around Sydney, and appeared at youth centres throughout the state. They began appearing as opening acts for established groups. They released two EP's ''Trash the Party'' and ''Scum of the Earth'' in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Its roots can be traced to earlier punk scenes in San Francisco and Punk rock in California, Southern California which arose as a reaction against the still predominant History of the hippie movement, hippie cultural climate of the time. Luna Park Sydney
Luna Park Sydney is a heritage-listed amusement park located at 1 Olympic Drive in the harbourside suburb of Milsons Point, New South Wales, Australia, on the northern shore of Sydney Harbour. The amusement park is owned by the Luna Park Reserve Trust, an agency of the Government of New South Wales, and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 5 March 2010. The park was constructed during 1935 approximately from the northern approaches of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and ran for seventy-month seasons until 1972, when it was opened year-round. Luna Park was closed in mid-1979, immediately following the Ghost Train fire, which killed six children and one adult. The band currently consists of vocalist Jonathan Vigil, guitarists Zach Johnson and Chris Davis, bassist Jim Riley and drummer Andrew Tkaczyk. Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Dream On, Dreamer was an Australian four piece alternative metalcore band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, formed in 2009. The band released two EPs and three albums.
