Hamr na Jezeře (german: Hammer am See) is a municipality and village in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 500 inhabitants. It is known as a recreation centre. Administrative parts Villages of Břevniště and Útěchovice are administrative parts of Hamr na Jezeře. Etymology The name ''Hamr na Jezeře'' literally means " Hammer mill on Lake". Geography Hamr na Jezeře is located about west of Liberec. It lies in the Ralsko Uplands. The highest point is the hill Útěchovický Špičák at above sea level. The Ploučnice River and its arm Hamerská strouha flow through the municipality. Liberec
Liberec (; german: Reichenberg ) is a city in the Czech Republic. It has about 103,000 inhabitants and it is the fifth-largest city in the country. Děvín (german: Mayden Berg) is a double peak mountain in the Pavlov municipality in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic. With an elevation of , it is the highest mountain of the Pavlov Hills within the Mikulov Highlands, and of the Pálava Protected Landscape Area. Uranium
Uranium is a chemical element with the symbol U and atomic number 92. It is a silvery-grey metal in the actinide series of the periodic table. Ralsko (german: Roll) is a town in Česká Lípa District in the Liberec Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,100 inhabitants. It comprises area of the former military training area with Hradčany Air Base. Hammer Mill
A hammer mill, hammer forge or hammer works was a workshop in the pre-industrial era that was typically used to manufacture semi-finished, wrought iron products or, sometimes, finished agricultural or mining tools, or military weapons. The feature that gave its name to these workshops was the water-driven trip hammer, or set of hammers, used in the process. The shaft, or 'helve', of the hammer was pivoted in the middle and the hammer head was lifted by the action of cams set on a rotating camshaft that periodically depressed the end of the shaft. As it rose and fell, the head of the hammer described an arc. The face of the hammer was made of iron for durability.
