Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani
Sheikh Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani ( ar, حمد بن عبدالله بن جاسم بن محمد آل ثاني; 1896 – 27 May 1948) was Crown Prince of the State of Qatar. Sheikh Hamad was the second son of the second Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, and also the father of the fifth Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani. Life He was born in Doha and educated privately at the palace. In 1935, he was appointed as Heir Apparent by his father and served as Deputy Ruler on several times. Early on in his childhood, his father exposed him in to the life of a politician. He died early; he was expected to become the next emir, but he died when his father was alive. Later upon his death, his father passed the powers to his older son, Ali bin Abdullah Al Thani. He died at Dukhan on 27 May 1948. House Of Thani
The House of Thani ( ar, الثاني , translit=Al Thani) is the ruling family of Qatar, with origins tracing back to the Banu Tamim tribal confederation. History and structure The Al Thanis can be traced back to Mudar bin Nizar. The tribe were settled at Gebrin oasis in southern Najd (present-day Saudi Arabia) before they moved to Qatar. Around the 17th century, the tribe lived in Ushayqir, a settlement north-east of Riyadh. They settled in Qatar around the 1720s. Their first settlement in Qatar was in the southern town of Sikak, and from there they moved north-west to Zubarah and Al Ruwais. They settled in Doha in the 19th century under their leader Mohammed bin Thani. The group was named after the father of Mohammad, Thani bin Mohammad. Ali bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani, KBE ( ar, علي بن عبد الله بن جاسم بن محمد آل ثاني; 5 June 1895 – 31 August 1974) was the Emir of Qatar. Sheikh Ali is also known as the first Emir of Qatar to have migrated and traveled abroad, visiting India, Egypt, Europe, Lebanon and the Levant. Suhaim Bin Hamad Al Thani
Suhaim bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani ( ar, سحيم بن حمد بن عبد الله بن قاسم آل ثاني; 1933 – 21 August 1985) was a member of the ruling family of Qatar who served as the country's foreign minister. Jassim Bin Hamad Bin Abdullah Al Thani
Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad bin Abdullah bin Jassim bin Muhammed Al Thani (1921 – July 1976 in Denver, Colorado, United States) was the eldest son of Hamad, himself the second son and heir apparent of the ruler of Qatar, but who died (in 1948) before his father.
