Halkbank
Halkbank () is a Turkish bank, first incorporated in 1933 as a Public bank, state-owned bank. After growing throughout much of the twentieth century, it began absorbing smaller-sized state banks around the turn of the millennium. Halkbank is now a publicly traded company, although the majority stakeholder remains the Turkish government. Halkbank is a bank that offers vehicle loans, housing loans, consumer loans and commercial loans. A number of scandals and controversies involving the bank emerged in the 2010s, some of which culminated in arrests of its executives. Turkey Wealth Fund
The Türkiye Wealth Fund (TWF; , TVF) is a sovereign wealth fund founded in August 2016 and owned by the Government of Turkey. As of 2023, TWF had over $317 billion in total assets. The fund is operated with a "Strategic Investment Plan", which was approved by the Council of Ministers. Companies and assets formerly owned by state institutions shall be eligible to be transferred to the fund and sub-funds shall be able to be created if viewed appropriately. History TWF was officially founded on 26 August 2016. According to the law published, the chairman, CEO and board members were appointed by the Prime Minister. Reza Zarrab (, ; born 12 September 1983) is an Iranian-born businessman based in Turkey. He has Iranian, Azerbaijani, Turkish and Macedonian citizenship. In March 2016, he was arrested in the United States, accused of being a member of an international criminal organization. He was charged with evading US economic sanctions on Iran and money laundering in an alleged racket scheme to help Iran bypass the sanctions, involving ministers of the Turkish government of then prime minister and now president of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. His father, Hossein Zarrab, had a close relationship with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was the President of Iran from 2005 to 2013. Ataşehir is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Istanbul, Istanbul, Turkey. Its area is 25 km2, and its population is 423,127 (2022). It is located at the junction of the Otoyol 2, O-2 and Otoyol 4, O-4 motorways on the Anatolian (Asian) side of Istanbul. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (born 26 February 1954) is a Turkish politician who is the 12th and current president of Turkey since 2014.
