Haley Daniels
Haley Daniels (born 14 December 1990) is a Canadian slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2010. Daniels started canoeing at age 6 and competing at age 12 in Calgary. She made her senior international debut in 2008 and won the bronze medal in the Pan American Games, Toronto, in 2015. With women’s canoeing events finally added to the Olympic slate for the 2020 Tokyo Games Daniels secured qualification for the delayed event in June 2021. Canoeing At The 2020 Summer Olympics – Women's Slalom C-1
The women's C-1 slalom canoeing event at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place on 28 and 29 July 2021 at the Kasai Canoe Slalom Course. 22 canoeists from 22 nations competed. The event was won by Jessica Fox from Australia, who already had three medals (one silver and two bronzes) in K-1 slalom from the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympics. Briton Mallory Franklin won silver, and German Andrea Herzog bronze. For both of them it was the first Olympic medal. Background This was the debut appearance of the event, replacing the men's C-2.
