Haldur Grüner
Haldur Ragnvald Grüner (born 17 October 1818 in Kristiansand, Norway, died 8 December 1858) was the founder of Grüners Handelsakademi, a business school in Copenhagen. His father was a Norwegian lieutenant colonel, but the family moved to Copenhagen when Haldur was young. Here he founded Grüners Handelsakademi in 1843, and remained its leader until his death. He was then succeeded by Albert Kaarup. Grüner published numerous practical manuals, tables, and similar works for merchants. His greatest work was the 8-volume business encyclopedia, ''Encyklopædi for Handlende'', completed by others after his death. In 1845 he married Jacobine Alette Steen Hoffmann Dewold from Trondheim. Kristiansand
Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and municipality in Agder county, Norway. The city is the fifth-largest and the municipality the sixth-largest in Norway, with a population of around 112,000 as of January 2020, following the incorporation of the municipalities of Søgne and Songdalen into the greater Kristiansand municipality. The Royal Library ( da, Det Kongelige Bibliotek) in Copenhagen is the national library of Denmark and the university library of the University of Copenhagen. It is among the largest libraries in the world and the largest in the Nordic countries. In 2017, it merged with the State and University Library in Aarhus to form a combined national library. The combined library organisation (the separate library locations in Copenhagen and Aarhus are maintained) is known as the Royal Danish Library ( da, Det Kgl. Bibliotek). It contains numerous historical treasures, and a copy of all works printed in Denmark since the 17th century are deposited there.
