The is a two-car electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the Japanese private railway operator Hakone Tozan Railway on its steeply graded Hakone Tozan Line since May 2017. Overview The fleet is branded "Allegra". The general design of the trains was overseen by Noriaki Okabe Architecture Network, with the train finished in the standard Hakone Tozan Railway livery of "Vermillion Hakone" and silver highlights. The trains can operate in multiple with 3000 series EMU cars to form three-car sets. Formation The two car set is formed as follows. Interior Passenger accommodation consists mostly of four-person seating bays, with a wheelchair spaces in both cars. Seating is provided for 40 passengers in each car, including six pairs of tip-up seats. The trains use LED lighting throughout. Hakone Tozan Line
The is a mountain railway in Japan operated by the Hakone Tozan Railway. The company belongs to the Odakyu Group, which also owns the Hakone Tozan Cable Car. The section of the line from Odawara Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station began operating in 1919, with the current terminus of Gōra being reached in 1930. Since 2006, only Odakyū Odawara Line trains run on the section from Odawara Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station, as that section was converted from dual-gauge (standard and narrow) to just narrow-gauge. From Gora, travelers can continue up the mountain on the Hakone Tozan Cable Car. A magnetic track brake (Mg brake) is a brake for rail vehicles. It consists of brake magnets, pole shoes, a suspension, a power transmission and, in the case of mainline railroads, a track rod. Noriaki Okabe Architecture Network
is a Japanese architect. He was born in Shizuoka, Japan. He worked with Renzo Piano for twenty years in Europe, from the designing construction supervision of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris. In 1988, Okabe, then the representative of Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Japan, won the international competition of Kansai International Airport Terminal Building and was responsible for the design and construction supervision. While not currently on display, the Museum of Modern Art holds a model of the building's main structural truss in its Architecture and Design department. After the construction of the Terminal Building, he established Noriaki Okabe Architecture Network in 1995 in Tokyo. An LED lamp or LED light bulb is an electric light that produces light using light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
