Hakan Altun
Hakan Altun (born 13 August 1972) is a Turkish singer, songwriter and instrumentalist. He was born in Istanbul. After elementary school, he got a place in the academy of music, where he completed his secondary, high and university education, assisted by his grandfather Hafız Zeki Altun. After graduation bachelor of arts in music, he continued his studies focusing on Traditional Turkish Music. In his second year of post-graduate studies, he quit to pursue a career as an instrumentalist in the Edirne State Choir, playing the lute. Cümbüş
The ''cümbüş'' (; ) is a Turkish stringed instrument of relatively modern origin. It was developed in 1930 by Zeynel Abidin Cümbüş (1881–1947) as an oud-like instrument that could be heard as part of a larger ensemble. The cümbüş is shaped like an American banjo, with a spun-aluminum resonator bowl and skin soundboard. Although originally configured as an oud, the instrument has been converted to other instruments by attaching a different set of neck and strings. The standard cümbüş is fretless, but guitar, mandolin and ukulele versions have fretboards. The neck is adjustable, allowing the musician to change the angle of the neck to its strings by turning a screw. Arabesque ( tr, Arabesk) is a style of music created in Turkey. The genre was particularly popular in Turkey from the 1960s through the 2000s. Its aesthetics have evolved over the decades. Its melodies are influenced by espesically Arab Music, the music of Southeastern Europe and the Middle East, including bağlama music and Ottoman forms of oriental music. Arabesque music are mostly in a minor key, typically in the Phrygian mode, and themes tend to focus on longing, melancholy, strife and love issues. Fantezi is a Turkish music genre composed in Turkish language in accordance with the tradition of the Turkish people. Also called folk song or urban folk music, in its plural form is a Turkish music genre which has taken many forms over the years.
