Haitian−Qingdao Railway
The Haitian−Qingdao railway or Haiqing railway () is a railway in Shandong Province, China. The single-track railway connects Station in Changyi on the Dezhou–Longkou–Yantai railway in northern Shandong with Station in Gaomi on the Jiaozhou–Jinan railway near the Jiaozhou Bay in southern Shandong. History The railway had been expected to open by the end of 2012. However, it was delayed and was opened to freight on 31 December 2013. Passenger services were introduced to Pingdu West on 1 July 2015. Passenger services The line has a single passenger station, Pingdu West railway station. There are two services to and from Pingdu West per day. One terminates at Qingdao North while the other continues to Qingdao. A new station, Pingdu railway station, on the Weifang–Laixi high-speed railway opened in November 2020 and is situated closer to the city. Weifang–Laixi high-speed railway is a high-speed railway in China. It opened on 26 November 2020. The line is long and has a design speed of , though initially services are running at . Qingdao Railway Station
Qingdao railway station () is a railway station in Qingdao, Shandong, in the People's Republic of China. As a time-honoured station of Qingdao, more than 100 regular passenger trains (denoted with letter Z/T/K, or no letter), initially scheduled CRH trains (denoted with letter G/D) and some intercity CRH trains (denoted with letter C) arrive and depart daily. Limited by a relatively small number of platforms, most newly scheduled trains eventually will not stop here, instead, terminating at the larger Qingdao North railway station. Qingdaobei (Qingdao North) railway station () is a railway station in Qingdao, Shandong, China. Qingdaobei Station is one of the terminal stations of CRH trains (denoted with letter G and D) bound for Qingdao city from major cities in China. Intercity CRH trains running on Qingdao-Rongcheng Intercity Railway (denoted with letter C) and newly scheduled common passenger trains also end their journey here rather than overloaded Qingdao station. Jiaozhou Bay
The Jiaozhou Bay (; german: Kiautschou Bucht, ) is a bay located in the prefecture-level city of Qingdao (Tsingtau), China. The bay has historically been romanized as Kiaochow, Kiauchau or Kiao-Chau in English and Kiautschou in German. Geography and ecology Jiaozhou Bay is a natural inlet of the Yellow Sea, with 10 to 15 meters depth to the seabed and deeper, dredged channels to three major ports around the bay: Qingdao, Huangdao, and Hongdao, all of which are ice-free during winter. It is located on the southern coast of the Shandong Peninsula in East China, and separates Huangdao District from Qingdao City and borders on Jiaozhou City.
