Liane Haid
Juliane "Liane" Haid (16 August 1895 – 28 November 2000) was an Austrian actress and singer. She has often been referred to as Austria's first movie star. Biography Juliane Haid was born in Vienna on 16 August 1895, the first child to Georg Haid (1864–1951) and Juliane Haid (1873–1939). She had two younger sisters, Grit, who also became an actress, and Johanna (1903–1964). Haid trained both as a dancer and singer and became the epitome of the ''Süßes Wiener Mädel'' ("Sweet Viennese Girl") and a popular pin-up throughout the 1920s and 1930s. Her first motion picture was a propaganda film made during the First World War, ''Mit Herz und Hand fürs Vaterland'' (1916). She worked for UFA and, as a trained singer, easily made the transition to the sound era, appearing in comedy films alongside Austrian and German stars such as Willi Forst, Bruno Kastner, Georg Alexander, Theo Lingen, and Heinz Rühmann. Charles Haid
Charles Maurice Haid III (born June 2, 1943) is an American actor and television director, with notable work in both movies and television. He is best known for his portrayal of Officer Andy Renko in ''Hill Street Blues''. Haid was born in San Francisco, the son of Grace Marian (née Folger) and Charles Maurice Haid Jr. He attended Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University), where he met Steven Bochco. He was associate producer of the original stage production of ''Godspell'' in 1971, which was developed at CMU. Haid's acting credits include the 1976/1977 series '' Delvecchio'' as Sgt. Johann Jacob Haid or Johann Jakob Haid (1704–1767) was a German engraver who worked in Augsburg. Life and works Haid came from a German family of artists and engravers and was known for large mezzotint portraits. He worked in England, and it has been suggested that he borrowed from the work of Robert Robinson (c. 1651 – 1706), who was a popular English mezzotint engraver, painter, and stage designer. Herenaus Haid
Herenaus Haid was a German Roman Catholic clergyman, teacher, catechist and author. Life and works He was born in the Diocese of Regensburg on 16 February 1784; died 7 January 1873. His parents were quite destitute, and Haid, in his earliest youth, was deprived of all schooling. He was a shepherd's boy and had learned from his pious mother only how to say the rosary and to recite the little catechism of Saint Petrus Canisius. Despite privation and obstacles, he finished his preparatory studies at Neuburg and his theological studies at Landshut. At Munich, which diocese he entered in 1807 after his ordination, he obtained the degree of Doctor of Divinity in 1808. But parochial work was not to be his field.
