Hahdhu
''Hahdhu'' () is a 2017 Maldivian romantic film directed by Abdul Faththaah. Produced by Abdul Faththaah and Niuma Mohamed under Red Production, the film stars Mariyam Azza, Ahmed Shiban and Aminath Rishfa in pivotal roles. The film was released on 6 September 2017. Plot Yusra, a young women returns to her home island after completing her studies from Mal'e. She meets a young man named Ali and fell in love with him during the trip. On the other hand, Hamza is a young man who face humiliations from the society due to his mother's extra-marital affairs. On day Yusra save Hamza from committing suicide because he is tried of his mother's action, after which Hazma developed feelings for her. Abdul Faththaah
Abdul Faththaah Abdul Gayyoom (born 6 December 1971), commonly known as Abdul Faththaah is a Maldivian film director, producer, editor, screenwriter and choreographer. One of the most successful filmmakers in Maldivian Cinema, Faththaah is the recipient of a number of awards, including four Gaumee Film Awards, and two Maldives Film Awards. In 2004, Government of Maldives honoured him with the National Award of Recognition. He is known for his romantically stylish film-making. Mariyam Azza
Mariyam Azza (born 20 April 1989) is a Maldivian film actress. She is the daughter of actress Aminath Rasheedha and younger sister to actress turned director Aishath Rishmy Early life Born in Malé, Azza is the daughter of actress Aminath Rasheedha and the sister of actress Aishath Rishmy. She made a brief cameo appearance in the film ''Mithuru'', along with Rishmy, which was produced by her step-father Shiyam and co-starring with Rasheedha. In 1997, she starred alongside Rasheedha in Mohamed Ali Manik's '' Maazee'' (2000) which narrates the story of two best friends, a boy and a girl, who get separated at childhood and reunite as adults. Ali Azim
Ali Azim is a Maldivian film actor. Career 2010–2016: Early releases Azim expressed his interest in acting at a very young age. Before he pursued a career in acting Azim worked as a dancer and stage performer. He was first recognized by the audience for his facial expressions while dancing. While working in the Animation Dance Group, the team made a short children's film ''Lollypop'' with "no serious intention but for entertainment". The film which features Azim in a "forgettable" role did not much help to accelerate his career. Fauziyya Hassan
Fauziyya Hassan (8 January 1942 – 31 August 2022) was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in ''Sidha'' in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act. After her release Hassan appeared in a number of television dramas and films, including a run of horror films in the early 2000s. Mohamed Rasheed (actor)
Mohamed Rasheed (2 April 1964), professionally known as Dharaa Rasheed, is a Maldivian film actor, cinematographer, producer and director. Early life At the age of twelve, Rasheed along with his friends, Sodhiq and Kashima Ahmed Shakir, used to spend most of their times at his place, singing, playing table tennis and undertake Urdu classes. After completing his studies at Majeediyya School, Rasheed witnessed several cameras being carried to the recently developed broadcasting company, Television Maldives and decided to be a cameraman. Mariyam Shakeela is a Maldivian film actress. Career 1992–2007: Early releases After completing her education in MCS and EPS, Shakeela married to comedian Yoosuf Rafeeu who was then a producer and news presenter at Television Maldives.
