John Sharpenstein Hager
John Sharpenstein Hager (March 12, 1818March 19, 1890) was an American politician from the state of California. He served in the U.S. Senate from 1873 to 1875. Life Hager was born near Morristown, New Jersey, on March 12, 1818. He completed preparatory studies and graduated from the College of New Jersey (later named Princeton University) in 1836. Hager studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1840, practicing in Morristown. In 1849, Hager moved to California and engaged in mining during the California Gold Rush. He practiced law in San Francisco and was a member of the 1849 California Constitutional Convention. Hager served in the California Senate from 1852 to 1854, before being elected as a state district judge for the district of San Francisco in 1855. Hagar remained a district judge until 1861. Monsey, New York
Monsey (, yi, מאנסי, translit=Monsi) is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Ramapo, Rockland County, New York, United States, located north of Airmont, east of Viola, south of New Hempstead, and west of Spring Valley. The village of Kaser is surrounded by the hamlet of Monsey. The 2020 census listed the population at 26,954. The hamlet has a large, and growing, community of Orthodox Jews. History Rockland County was inhabited by the Munsee band of Lenape Native Americans, who were speakers of the Algonquian languages. Monsey Glen, a Native American encampment, is located west of the intersection of State Route 59 and State Route 306. Numerous artifacts have been found there and some rock shelters are still visible. Biography Early life He was born in Grossverdein to Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager (1888—1972), later the Vizhnitz Rebbe, and Margalia, the daughter of Rabbi Ze'ev Twersky, the Admor of Rachmastrivka. From his childhood, he followed his grandfather, the Admor Rabbi Yisroel Hager (Ahavat Yisrael). At the age of 18 he went to study for a short period with Rebbe Yoel of Satmar. Rocky Hager
Ralph Earl "Rocky" Hager III (born August 29, 1951) is American football coach and former player. Rocky is currently retired from coaching as of the 2021 football season. His final stop on his storied career was an assistant coach at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). He served as the head football coach at North Dakota State University from 1987 to 1996 and at Northeastern University from 2004 until 2009, after which the school dropped their football program. He was also the interim head football coach at TCNJ for the 2016 season. Hager won two NCAA Division II Football Championships at North Dakota State, in 1988 and 1990.
