"Abdel Kader" ( ar, عبد القادر) is an Music of Algeria, Algerian traditional song made famous by the Algerian raï artist Khaled (musician), Khaled. It is mistakenly thought to be about the Emir `Abd al-Qādir al-Jazā'irī, a famous Algerian Islam, Muslim religious leader and freedom fighter who resisted the French conquest of Algeria, but is actually about the 12th century Sufi saint Shaikh Abdul Qadir Gilani, Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani (1078–1166 AD), the posthumous founder of the Qadiriyya, Qadiriyya Sufi Order. It is featured on his 1993 studio album ''N'ssi N'ssi''. After his 1993 original album version, Khaled released a solo live version of "Abdel Kader" in his live album ''Hafla'' in 1998. ''Sahra'' is a studio album from Algerian raï artist Khaled, released in 1996. It was the artist's biggest production to date, being co-produced by Philippe Eidel, Don Was, Jean-Jacques Goldman and Clive Hunt, and including performances by many other singers from around the world. It features what is perhaps Khaled's most popular song, "Aïcha". Most tracks are sung in Arabic, with a notable dosage of French. "Ki Kounti" is partially sung in Spanish as it features Mexican Rock vocalist Saúl Hernández from the band Caifanes. The title track is named after Khaled's first daughter, Sarah, to whom the album is dedicated along with her mother, Samira.
