Hadi Tavoosi
Hadi Tavoosi (هادی طاووسی in Persian, born 7 October 1938 in Tehran, Iran) is a retired Iranian footballer and administrator. He was a goalkeeper and has played most of his playing careers in Shahin and Persepolis. He was also played one season at Paykan on loan. He was retired in 1974 and became a vice president at Iranian Football Federation. After resignation of Naser Noamooz in 1980, Tavoosi was appointed as president of the football federation. He was president of Iranian FA from 6 October 1980 until 8 August 1981. Tehran
Tehran (; fa, تهران ) is the largest city in Tehran Province and the capital of Iran. The Iranian football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for football clubs in Iran. Structure The current structure has been in place since 2001. The Persian Gulf Pro League (PGL) is the highest level of club football in Iran. It is also called the Pro League. Below it is the Azadegan League, also known as the 1st division and called the League 1, which consists of one twenty-team group. One level further down from that is the 2nd division, also known as a League 2 which is made up of 40 teams evenly distributed into four groups. Tehran Province League
Tehran Provincial League, formerly known as Tehran Clubs Championship, is the premier football league of Tehran Province and is 5th in the Iranian football pyramid after the 3rd Division. It is part of AFC's Vision Asia program. Stablished in 1920, it is the oldest football league still being held in Iran. Tehran Clubs Championship used to be Tehran's and Iran's top flight until 1973 when Takht Jamshid Cup was established for the first time. During the 1970s Tehran clubs championship lost its importance and almost all of Tehran's top club participated in Takjt Jamshid Cup.
