Haddad (Aramaic: ܚܕܕ or ܚܕܐܕ, ar, حداد, he, חדד;) is a primarily Levantine family name originating in Aramaic. The original Haddad (Aramaic: ܚܕܕ or ܚܕܐܕ) surname means ''blacksmith'' in Semitic languages. It is commonly used in the Levant and in Algeria. In the Aramaic- Turoyo dialect, the Haddads are also known as "Hadodo ܚܕܕܐ". People with the surname Hadodo, are usually Assyrian Syriac Christians from Tur Abdin. Amir-John Haddad
Amir John Haddad (born 1975) is a German-Spanish flamenco guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, based in Spain since 1997. He was the official oud, bouzouki and guitar player for Radio Tarifa for almost ten years and in that role received a nomination for Best Folk Album at the Latin Grammy Awards of 2004. Fernando Haddad (born 25 January 1963) is a Brazilian academic and politician who has served as the Brazilian Minister of Finance since 1 January 2023. He was previously the Mayor of São Paulo from 2013 to 2016. Fawwaz Haddad (Arabic: فواز حدّاد) (born 1947) is a Syrian novelist. He was born in Damascus and studied law at Damascus University. He held several jobs before taking up writing full-time. Eddie Haddad (February 20, 1928 in Winnipeg, Manitoba – August 14, 1978 in Chilliwack, British Columbia) was a boxer primarily active in the 1940s in Manitoba and British Columbia.
