Habiba Ahmed Abd Elaziz Ramadan (November 22, 1986 – August 14, 2013) was an Egyptian journalist and activist who was killed on August 14, 2013 at the August 2013 Rabaa massacre by a sniper in the protests following the ousting of Mohamed Morsi as President of Egypt. At the time of her death she was working for Gulf News ''Gulf News'' is a daily English language newspaper published from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Rabia Al-Adawiyya
Rābiʿa al-ʿAdawiyya al-Qaysiyya ( ar, رابعة العدوية القيسية) (714/717/718 — 801 CE) was an Arab Muslim saint and Sufi mystic and carried her life out as an influential religious figure. She is known in some parts of the world as Hazrat Rabia Basri, Rabia Al Basri or simply Rabia Basri. August 2013 Rabaa Massacre
On 14 August 2013, the Egyptian police and armed forces under the command of General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi raided two camps of protesters in Cairo: one at al-Nahda Square and a larger one at Rabaa al-Adawiya Square. The two sites had been occupied by supporters of President Mohamed Morsi, who had been removed from office by the military a little over a month earlier in the 2013 Egyptian coup d'état. Initiatives to end the six-week sit-ins by peaceful means had failed and the camps were cleared out within hours. The news of the raids were reported and received differently by different sources and commentators. The Human Rights Watch described the raids as crimes against humanity and "one of the world's largest killings of demonstrators in a single day in recent history".
