''Habermann'' ( cs, Habermannův mlýn) is a 2010 Czech-German-Austrian war drama film directed by Juraj Herz. In the story, the lives of a German mill owner and his family in the Sudetenland are changed dramatically as Europe heats up in 1938. The movie is based on true events and is the first major motion picture to dramatize the post-World War II expulsion of 3 million ethnic Germans from Czechoslovakia. Production Juraj Herz has made this statement in describing his film and his reasons for creating it: The script was created on the basis of a book by Josef Urban, based on the fate of the real Hubert Habermann, a miller from Bludov in North Moravia. In 2001, the novel ''Habermannův mlýn'' (''Habermann's Mill'') by Urban was published, being the first novel in Czech literature about the expulsion of the Sudeten Germans, concerning the murder of the miller Habermann in 1945 who was known to be friendly towards Czechs. Nico Habermann
Arie Nicolaas Habermann (26 June 1932 – 8 August 1993), often known as Nico Habermann, was a noted Dutch computer scientist. Habermann was born in Groningen, Netherlands, and earned his B.S. in mathematics and physics and M.S. in mathematics from the Free University of Amsterdam in 1953 and 1958. After working as a mathematics teacher, in 1967 he received his Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the Eindhoven University of Technology under advisor Edsger Dijkstra. In 1968, Habermann was invited to join the department of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University as a visiting research scientist. In 1969 he was appointed an associate professor, and was made full professor in 1974, acting department head in 1979, and department head from 1980 to 1988, after which he was named Dean of the new School of Computer Science (established under Allen Newell and Herbert A. Johann Habermann, also Johannes Avenarius (10 August 1516 – 5 December 1590) was a German Lutheran theologian. Life He was born at Eger (92 m. w. of Prague) on 10 August 1516. She is best known for playing the role of Zev Bellringer in the television series ''Lexx''. Sven Habermann (born November 3, 1961 in West Berlin, West Germany) is a former Canadian national soccer team goalkeeper, who was a member of the team that competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. Michael Habermann (born 1950 in Paris) is an American pianist and private piano instructor. His intense study of the music of English-Parsi composer Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji has resulted in five recordings. Sorabji dedicated his piano piece ''Il grido del Gallino d'oro da Rimsky-Korsakov: variazioni frivole con una fuga anarchica, eretica e perversa'' (1978–79) to him.
