HR Top 40
The HR Top 40 are the main Croatian domestic singles airplay chart, issued weekly by the Croatian Music Institute (Institut Hrvatske Glazbe) and the Croatian Phonographic Association (Hrvatska Diskografska Udruga) through Top lista. The charts are a record of the most played domestic songs in various genres in Croatia. HR Top 40 became the official Croatian airplay chart in December 2012. History The chart launched on 24 January 2013 with the data collected from the 14th of January to the 20th of January being published in the first issue of the chart. Originally, the data from 80 radio stations was collected to form a list of the 40 most played domestic songs in Croatia. The airplay chart contained data generated by the Playkontrol system according to any song played during the period starting the previous Monday at time 00:00:00 and ending Sunday night at 23:59:59. Top Lista
The Top lista are the official music charts in Croatia and are gathered and published by ''Hrvatska Diskografska Udruga'' - ''HDU'' (Croatian Phonographic Association). Top lista is the provider of weekly single and album charts, as well as some other chart formats. Dissemination of the charts is conducted by various media outlets such as Croatian Radiotelevision and RTL Televizija. Furthermore, ''Top lista'' also runs a dedicated website providing chart-related news and access to most of the charts. History The Croatian Phonographic Association was founded in June 1995. During the 90's they only issued certifications based on sold albums. Their first chart wouldn't be published until January 2006 when the first issue of the Top of the Shops albums chart was announced. Nina Badrić
Nina Badrić (; born 4 July 1972) is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter. She began performing in the early 1990s, and competed in " Dora" – the Croatian selection for Eurovision Song Contest 4 times. She won 7th place in 1993 with "Ostavljam te", 10th place in 1994 with "Godine nestvarne", 18th place in 1995 with "Odlaziš zauvijek", and second place in 2003 with "Čarobno jutro". Badrić eventually represented Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with the song " Nebo". She finished 12th in the second semi-final and failed to qualify for the grand final. RTL (Croatian TV Channel)
RTL (previously known as RTL Televizija) is a Croatian free-to-air television network founded on 30 April 2004. It was owned by the RTL Group from 2004 to 2022. Since 1 June 2022, it is owned by the CME Group. The logo consisted of three primary colours: Red, Yellow, and Blue. This is the second commercial television network in Croatia that has a national concession, following Nova TV. On 15 May 2014, RTL Group announced that Henning Tewes, Managing Director of news provider Enex, would be appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RTL Hrvatska as of 1 July 2014. Tewes succeeds Johannes Züll, who left the RTL Group to become president and CEO of Studio Hamburg. Vatra (band)
Vatra is a Croatian rock band. The song "Tremolo", featuring Damir Urban, won them the Porin for the best vocal cooperation of 2012. On 15 December 2023, the band was announced among the participants of Dora 2024, the Croatian selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, with the song "Slatke suze, gorka ljubav". Massimo Savić
Massimo Moreno Savić (6 June 1962 – 23 December 2022), also known simply as Massimo, was a Croatian pop singer. His father was a native of Tulež near Aranđelovac. His mother was Italian from Istria, a native of Raša near Labin. He first became popular in the 1980s with his band Dorian Gray, and then soon embarked on a successful solo career. He won five Porin awards for best male vocal performance, 2004–2007, and in 2012. In 2013, Massimo's thirty-year anniversary concert sold out the Pula Arena. It featured Vlado Kreslin, Neno Belan, and Nina Badrić as guests, and was also broadcast live by the Croatian Radiotelevision. He was one of the judges on the X Factor Adria (series 2), second series of ''X Factor Adria''. Massimo died from lung cancer at Sisters of Charity Hospital (Zagreb), Sisters of Charity Hospital in Zagreb on 23 December 2022, at the age of 60. Psihomodo Pop
Psihomodo Pop is a Croatian pop punk group. The band was formed in 1983 in Zagreb and has since achieved a somewhat cult following across the area of former Yugoslavia. Formed from the remnants of a band called Neron, Psihomodo Pop initially gained fame across Yugoslavia in 1988 after the release of their debut album ''Godina zmaja'' (''The Year of the Dragon''). "Nema nje" (''She's Gone'') was released as a single from the album and became a success due to the music video for the song being played by MTV. This gave Psihomodo Pop the distinction as the first Yugoslavian music act to have their music played on a major music television network. Damir Kedžo
Damir Kedžo (born 24 May 1987) is a Croatian pop singer. While he started his career in 2003 by participating in '' Story Supernova Music Talents'', he became even more famous in Croatia after winning the third season of '' Tvoje lice zvuči poznato'', the Croatian version of ''Your Face Sounds Familiar''. Jelena Žnidarić (born 9 June 1994), known professionally as Zsa Zsa, is a Croatian singer. She rose to fame by participating in the second season of X Factor Adria. Petar Grašo
Petar Grašo (born 19 March 1976) is a Croatian pop singer and songwriter. Born in Split to basketball player Zoran Grašo, he rose to prominence when Oliver Dragojević performed one of his first songs "Boginja" on the Dora contest in 1995. Since then, he has collaborated greatly with Dragojević, and has also worked with Doris Dragović, Danijela Martinović, Tonči Huljić, Goran Bregović, and Lepa Brena. Eni Jurišić (born 22 June 1990), known professionally as Eni, is a Croatian singer and songwriter. She rose to fame by participating in the second season of ''The Voice Hrvatska''.
