Heart Rhythm Meditation
Heart Rhythm Meditation (commonly known as HRM) is a type of meditation that involves the synchronization of breath and heartbeat in which the conscious control of breathing is meant to influence a person’s mental, emotional, or physical state, with a claimed therapeutic effect. The core practice in Heart Rhythm Meditation is attention on the heart and coordination of the breath and heartbeat. Background Heart Rhythm Meditation is a method of meditation that has been expanded and developed by Puran Bair and Susanna Bair founders of the Institute for Applied Meditation on the Heart, iamHeart. The method was described in the books ''Living from the Heart'' and ''Energize Your Heart in 4 Dimensions.'' The application of Heart Rhythm Meditation to the development of spiritual maturity is described in the book, ''Follow Your Heart.'' The practice originates from the Jesus Prayer and the teachings of Inayat Khan, who founded the Sufi order and is credited with bringing Sufism to t ...

High-reactivity Metakaolin
Metakaolin is the anhydrous calcined form of the clay mineral kaolinite. Minerals that are rich in kaolinite are known as china clay or kaolin, traditionally used in the manufacture of porcelain. The particle size of metakaolin is smaller than cement particles, but not as fine as silica fume. Kaolinite sources The quality and reactivity of metakaolin is strongly dependent of the characteristics of the raw material used. Metakaolin can be produced from a variety of primary and secondary sources containing kaolinite: * High purity kaolin deposits * Kaolinite deposits or tropical soils of lower purity * Paper sludge waste (if containing kaolinite) * Oil sand tailings (if containing kaolinite) Forming metakaolin The T-O clay mineral kaolinite does not contain interlayer cations or interlayer water. The temperature of dehydroxylation depends on the structural layer stacking order. Disordered kaolinite dehydroxylates between 530 and 570 °C, ordered kaolinite between 570 and 6 ...

High Resolution Melt
High Resolution Melt (HRM) analysis is a powerful technique in molecular biology for the detection of mutations, polymorphisms and epigenetic differences in double-stranded DNA samples. It was discovered and developed by Idaho Technology and the University of Utah. It has advantages over other genotyping technologies, namely: * It is cost-effective vs. other genotyping technologies such as sequencing and TaqMan SNP typing. This makes it ideal for large scale genotyping projects. * It is fast and powerful thus able to accurately genotype many samples rapidly. * It is simple. With a good quality HRM assay, powerful genotyping can be performed by non-geneticists in any laboratory with access to an HRM capable real-time PCR machine. Method HRM analysis is performed on double stranded DNA samples. Typically the user will use polymerase chain reaction (PCR) prior to HRM analysis to amplify the DNA region in which their mutation of interest lies. In the sample tube there are now man ...

High Resolution Manometry
High-resolution manometry (HRM) is a gastrointestinal motility diagnostic system that measures intraluminal pressure activity in the gastrointestinal tract using a series of closely spaced pressure sensors. For a manometry system to be classified as "high-resolution" as opposed to "conventional", the pressure sensors need to be spaced at most 1 cm apart. Two dominant pressure transduction technologies are used: solid state pressure sensors and water perfused pressure sensors. Each pressure transduction technology has its own inherent advantages and disadvantages. HRM systems also require advanced computer hardware and software to store and analyze the manometry data. See also * Functional Lumen Imaging Probe *Anorectal manometry Anorectal manometry (ARM) is a medical test used to measure pressures in the anus and rectum and to assess their function. The test is performed by inserting a catheter, that contains a probe embedded with pressure sensors, through the anus and ...

Her Royal Majesty
Imperial and Royal Majesty ( abbreviated as HI&RM) was the style used by King-Emperors and their consorts as heads of imperial dynasties that were simultaneously royal. The style was notably used by the Emperor of Austria (who was also the King of Hungary and Bohemia) and by the German Emperor (who was also the King of Prussia). The Austrian and Bohemian monarchies were abolished in 1918 while the vacant throne of Hungary continued to exist until the 1940s. Examples * Napoleon I was also styled ''Imperial and Royal Majesty'' between 1805 and 1814 as Emperor of the French and King of Italy. * John VI of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarves was styled ''His Imperial and Royal Majesty'', from 1825, when Portugal and Brazil signed the ''Treaty of Rio de Janeiro'', recognizing the Brazilian independence but granting John VI as the titular Emperor of Brazil, until 1826, when he died. * Franz Joseph I of Austria was further titled "His Imperial and Royal Apost ...

Horned Miao Language
Hmong / Mong (; RPA: ''Hmoob,'' ; Nyiakeng Puachue: ; Pahawh: , ) is a dialect continuum of the West Hmongic branch of the Hmongic languages spoken by the Hmong people of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hainan, northern Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. There are some 2.7 million speakers of varieties that are largely mutually intelligible, including over 280,000 Hmong Americans as of 2013. Over half of all Hmong speakers speak the various dialects in China, where the Dananshan (大南山) dialect forms the basis of the standard language. However, Hmong Daw and Mong Leng are widely known only in Laos and the United States; Dananshan is more widely known in the native region of Hmong. Varieties Mong Leng (Moob Leeg) and Hmong Daw (Hmoob Dawb) are part of a dialect cluster known in China as ''Chuanqiandian Miao'', that is, "Sichuan–Guizhou–Yunnan Miao", called the "Chuanqiandian cluster" in English (or "Miao cluster" in other languages) as West Hmongic is also called ''C ...
