Hrvatski košarkaški klub Široki (), commonly referred to as HKK Široki or simply Široki, is a men's professional basketball Sports club, club based in Široki Brijeg, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The team currently competes in the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina. With eleven Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnia and Herzegovina Championship and nine Basketball Cup of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cups of Bosnia and Herzegovina won Široki is the most successful basketball team in the country. Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the top–tier men's professional basketball league in Bosnia and Herzegovina for men and women, respectively. The league is operated by the Basketball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Competition format The league is composed of 12 teams, each playing against the other eleven two times, home and away. After this portion concludes, the top six clubs are joined by the country's representatives in the Adriatic League, and enter "League 6". The best of these four teams go to the playoffs, and in the final best-of-five series, the Bosnian champion is crowned. The eight teams who do not make the playoffs go on to compete in the "relegation league," where a team's object becomes maintaining its standing and ability to play in the competition the following year. 2020–21 Basketball Championship Of Bosnia And Herzegovina
The 2020–21 Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the 20th season of this championship, with 14 teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina participating in it. Igokea was the defending champion. Competition format Thirteen of fourteen teams joined the regular season, played with as double round-robin tournament. At the end of regular season the last three teams would be relegated, while the first five teams would join "Liga 6" along with KK Igokea. First four teams in "Liga 6" would compete in playoff tournament, with one-leg (semifinals, third place and final) matches. In mid-season, however, it was decided that only the last team will be relegated. Also, playoff semifinal and final will be played in best of three and best of five format, respectively. Josip Sesar
Josip Sesar (born 17 January 1978) is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player for Cibona of the Croatian League and ABA League. Playing career Sesar started training basketball when he was ten. He was 182 cm tall at the time. In 1992 he left Zrinjski Mostar for Split. Since the youth coach did not consider him a prospect, his father took him to Zagreb. In 1993, he started his professional career there. After six successful seasons with Zagreb, in 1999, Sesar signed his second professional contract, namely with Cibona. At the 2000 NBA Draft he was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics and then traded to the Boston Celtics. Domagoj Bošnjak (born April 9, 1995) is a Croatian professional basketball player currently playing for Široki of the Basketball Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina and ABA League Second Division. Standing at 1.98 m he plays the shooting guard and small forward positions. Professional career Bošnjak started his professional career with Široki during the 2011–12 season.
