Guy O'Sullivan
Guy O'Sullivan (1967-April 8, 2017) was a television producer, and the founder and president of Canadian television company Proper Television. O'Sullivan was born in the United Kingdom and served as a director and producer for the BBC. After moving to Canada in 2004, O'Sullivan founded Proper Television and developed Canadian versions of several popular reality television series such as '' MasterChef'' (''MasterChef Canada''), ''Storage Wars'' (''Storage Wars Canada''), ''Four Weddings'' (''Four Weddings Canada'') and '' Britain's Worst Driver'' (''Canada's Worst Driver''). He was the original director of ''Britain's Worst Driver'' in the UK. Prior to his death in April 2017 at the age of 49, he was working on a Canadian version of '' The Great British Bake Off.'' Canada's Worst Driver
''Canada's Worst Driver'' was a Canadian television series that aired on Discovery Channel from 2005-2018, based on ''Britain's Worst Driver.'' It and sister series '' Canada's Worst Handyman'' (2006-2011) are the two highest-rated programs on Discovery Channel. The series is produced by Proper Television whose president, Guy O'Sullivan, was the director for the original ''Britain's Worst Driver'' series; as such, ''Canada's Worst Driver'' is considered to be the production company's flagship show. Four Weddings
''Four Weddings'' is a British reality television series that premiered on Sky Living, on 6 July 2009. It has become popular enough to have inspired the creations of versions in other countries. One episode included the real-life wedding of Steps singer Faye Tozer to her second husband Michael Smith. Gemini Award
The Gemini Awards were awards given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television between 1986–2011 to recognize the achievements of Canada's television industry. The Gemini Awards are analogous to the Emmy Awards given in the United States and the BAFTA Television Awards in the United Kingdom. First held in 1986 to replace the ACTRA Award, the ceremony celebrated Canadian television productions with awards in 87 categories, along with other special awards such as lifetime achievement awards. ''Storage Wars'' (stylized as ''STORAGE WAR$'') is an American reality television competition series that airs on A&E (TV channel), A&E. It initially aired for 12 seasons, from December 1, 2010, to January 30, 2019. A 13th season premiered in April 2021. When rent is not paid on a storage locker for three months in California, the contents can be sold by an auctioneer as a single lot of items in the form of a cash-only auction.
