Gutta På Tur
''Gutta på tur'' (roughly translates as "''The Boys on a Trip''") was a Norwegian travel-TV show starring Arne Hjeltnes, Arne Brimi (famous chef), and professional cross-country skiers Vegard Ulvang and Bjørn Dæhlie, the third most winning athlete in the history of the Winter Olympic Games. TV 2 (''TV to'') is a Norwegian terrestrial television channel. Its headquarters are located in Bergen. TV 2 began test broadcasting on 13 November 1991, and a year later, it was officially launched on 5 September 1992, becoming Norway's first commercial free-to-air television channel. In 1992, TV 2 A/S was admitted as full active member of the European Broadcasting Union. As is common with television (and cinema) in Norway, most foreign-language shows and segments of local programmes with foreign language dialogues (e.g. interviews with foreigners) are subtitled in Norwegian, not dubbed (with a notable exception being children's programmes). Arne Hjeltnes
Arne Hjeltnes (born August 9, 1963) is a Norwegian writer, television personality, marketer and politician. He was born in Kristiansand, but grew up in Voss. He now lives in Snarøya in Bærum together with former television host Cathrine Gehrken and three female children. He first moved to Bærum in 1982 to attend the BI Norwegian Business School, but did not complete his siv.øk. studies. He also carried through his compulsory military service at the Allied Forces Northern Europe, Kolsås. He was hired as a market consultant in the Norwegian Savings Banks Association, then worked in a marketing agency before he started to work with television. He had the character "Ærlege Arne" (Honest Arne) in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation show ''Hotell'' in 1990. In 1992 he was hired in TV 2. Vegard Ulvang
Vegard Ulvang (born 10 October 1963, in Kirkenes) is a Norwegian cross-country skier who won three Olympic gold medals, two silver, and one bronze. He has retired from international and Olympic competition. At the opening ceremony of the 1994 Winter Olympic Games, he took the ceremonial Olympic Oath on part of all the athletes. In addition to his Olympic achievements, he received the Holmenkollen medal in 1991 (shared with Trond Einar Elden, Ernst Vettori, and Jens Weißflog), and won the World Cup in 1990. He has also won nine gold, six silver, and two bronze medals in the Norwegian Championships. He earned nine World Cup race victories. Bjørn Dæhlie
Bjørn Erlend Dæhlie (born 19 June 1967) is a Norwegian businessman and retired cross-country skier. From 1992 to 1999, Dæhlie won the Nordic World Cup six times, finishing second in 1994 and 1998. Dæhlie won a total of 29 medals in the Olympics and World Championships between 1991 and 1999, making him the most successful male cross-country skier in history. During his career, Dæhlie measured a VO2 max of 96 ml/kg/min. Dæhlie's result was achieved out of season, and physiologist Erlend Hem who was responsible for the testing stated that he would not discount the possibility of the skier passing 100 ml/kg/min at his absolute peak. Gullruten ("Golden Screen") is an annual award for the Norwegian TV industry, founded in 1998 by ''Norske Film- og TV-produsenters forening''. The awarding committee has representatives from the major national TV companies, NRK, TV 2, TV3 and TVNorge. In 1998, the show was hosted by Nadia Hasnaoui, and from 1999 to 2012, by Dorthe Skappel. From 2013, the show has been hosted by Henriette Steenstrup and John Brungot. The prize categories have varied over the years.
