Guda Anjaiah
Guda Anjaiah (1 November 1955 – 21 June 2016) was an Indian poet, singer, lyricist, and writer from the state of Telangana. Early life Guda Anjaiah was born to Lakshmaiah and Laskhmamma in the Lingapuram village of the Dandepalli Mandal, Adilabad district in the year 1955. He was fifth one among the six brothers and a sister in the family. He attended his early schooling in the same village. Later, he completed intermediate studies in Laksettipeta and B.Pharmacy in Hyderabad. His father was educated and both the parents used to sing the tales of ''Ramayan'', ''Mahabharata'' and other folk stories. Personal life He was a famous singer in Telangana state. Popular culture Guda Anjaiah, during his schooling wrote the first song ''Ooru idichi ney poduna, Uri eska sathunna'' which remarked on the society and drought in Telangana Region. Telangana (; , ) is a States and union territories of India, state in India situated on the south-central stretch of the Indian subcontinent, Indian peninsula on the high Deccan Plateau. Rasamayi Balakrishna
Rasamayi Balakishan ( te, రసమయి బాలకిషన్; born on 15 May 1965), is a Member of the Legislative Assembly (Telangana) from the Manakonduru constituency in Karimnagar District in Telangana. He is a singer, poet and political activist. He is also appointed Chairman of State Cultural Council (Telangana Samskruthika Sarathi) with cabinet rank. He is the founder of Telangana Dhoom Dham. Early life Born Erpula Balakishan, in Raorukula village in Siddipet Mandal, Telangana to Rajaiah (d. 2010) and Maisamma (d. 2013). Both his parents were illiterate. ''Osey Ramulamma'' is a 1997 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. Telangana Movement
The Telangana movement refers to a movement for the creation of a separate state, Telangana, from the pre-existing state of Andhra Pradesh in India. The new state corresponds to the Telugu-speaking portions of the erstwhile princely state of Hyderabad, which were merged with Andhra Pradesh in 1956, leading to the Mulki Agitations. After decades of protests and agitations, the central government, under the United Progressive Alliance, decided to bifurcate the existing Andhra Pradesh state and on 2 June 2014, the Union Cabinet unilaterally cleared the bill for the creation of Telangana. Lasting for almost 5 decades, it was one of the most long lasting movements in South India. On 18 February 2014, the Lok Sabha passed the bill with a voice vote. Nalgonda
Nalgonda is a city and municipality in the Indian state of Telangana. It is the headquarters of the Nalgonda district, as well as the headquarters of the Nalgonda mandal in the Nalgonda revenue division. It is located about from the state capital Hyderabad.
