Osey Ramulamma
''Osey Ramulamma'' is a 1997 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Dasari Narayana Rao. The film is based on a woman's rebellion in Telangana and stars Vijayashanti as the title character. Rao and Rami Reddy also star while Krishna makes a cameo appearance. The film premiered at the 1998 International Film Festival of India in the mainstream section. Plot Ramulamma is born into the Dalit caste, making her an "untouchable", in the village. At the age of 13, she is impregnated by the Dora, Jagannayak Patwari. After giving birth to the baby, Patwari comes to know of its existence. He orders his men to throw the baby away and kill Ramulamma. The baby is found by Naxalites and raised by them. Injured, Ramulamma is taken care of, by a Dalit couple, who treat her as their sister. Dasari Narayana Rao
Dasari Narayana Rao (4 May 1947 – 30 May 2017) was an Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, lyricist, and politician known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema, in addition to Hindi cinema. He has directed more than 150 feature films in a variety of genres. He holds the '' Limca World Record'' for directing the most number of films in the world. He is known by the moniker ''Darsaka Ratna'' (). His works emphasize social injustice, corruption and gender discrimination. Narayana Rao has received two National Film Awards, nine state Nandi Awards including the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award, and four Filmfare Awards South including the Lifetime Achievement. During his career he had also acted in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films. Suddala Ashok Teja
Suddala Ashok Teja (born Gurram Ashok Teja; 4 April 1954) is an Indian poet and lyricist known for his work in Telugu cinema and Telugu literature. He has written lyrics for over 2200 songs. He won the National Film Award for Best Lyrics for the song "Nenu saitam" from ''Tagore'' (2004). Early life Suddala Ashok Teja was born in Suddala village of Jangaon district, Telangana to Telugu poet Suddala Hanmanthu and his wife Janakamma.
