Guadalupe Yancuictlalpan
Guadalupe Yancuictlalpan (usually referred to as simply Gualupita) is a small community, which is part of the municipality of Tianguistenco, Mexico State. The name Yancuictlalpan is most likely derived from the Nahuatl word ''yancuic'', which means "new" and the word ''tlal.li'' which means "land". Located 60 kilometers from Mexico City, and 30 from Toluca. The community is famous for the wool knit and woven items that are made by the local artisans. Each weekend takes place a market of textile handicrafts in the main street. History The construction of the main temple began in 1679 and ended in 1789, as it is indicated by an inscription in the South Tower of the temple. Demographics In 1990 it has a population of 2812 inhabitants and 6385 in 2000, which represents the 10.9% of the total population of the municipality. Tianguistenco
Santiago Tianguistenco (), often simply called Santiago by locals, is a city located in Mexico State about thirty km south of the state capital of Toluca. It is the municipal seat for the municipality of Tianguistenco. It is located in the southwest part of the Valley of Toluca at the edge of the Ajusco mountain range that separates it from Mexico City. The name Tianguistenco (Tyanguistengko) is from Nahuatl and means “at the edge of the tianguis,” which is a traditional Aztec market. Nahuatl
Nahuatl (; ), Aztec, or Mexicano is a language or, by some definitions, a group of languages of the Uto-Aztecan language family. Varieties of Nahuatl are spoken by about Nahua peoples, most of whom live mainly in Central Mexico and have smaller populations in the United States. Nahuatl has been spoken in central Mexico since at least the seventh century CE. Tenango De Arista
The municipality of Tenango del Valle is located in the southern portion of the Valley of Toluca in Mexico State, about 72 km southwest of Mexico City and 25 km south of Toluca. The municipal seat is the city of Tenango de Arista. While the seat is officially named Tenango de Arista, it is more commonly referred to as Tenango del Valle, as this was the original name of the town. Tenancingo, State Of Mexico
Tenancingo is one of 125 municipalities in the State of Mexico, Mexico. The municipal seat is the town of Tenancingo de Degollado. The municipality is located in the south of the state, in the Tenancingo Valley, just outside the Toluca Valley. The official name of the municipality is only ''Tenancingo'' but the town is Tenancingo de Degollado and is often confused with Tenancingo, Tlaxcala, which is a town in a different state. It is a commercial area known for its production of rebozos (a kind of shawl) which have been woven there since the colonial period on both backstrap and pedal looms.
