Great Ogboru
Great Ovedje Ogboru (born April 10, 1958) is a Nigerian businessman and politician who was the gubernatorial candidate for Alliance of Democracy, Democratic Peoples' Party and Labour Party in the 2003, 2007 and 2015 Delta State governorship elections. He was also the gubernatorial nominee for All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2019 Delta State governorship elections. Early life and education Ogboru was born on (April 10, 1958) in Port Harcourt. Ogboru received early education at Municipal Primary School, Port Harcourt but left the city to continue studies at a primary school in Abraka. He, however, finished his primary education at Oharisi Primary School, Ughelli. He attended Government College, Ughelli from 1971 to 1975. Huron University, also known as Si Tanka University at Huron, was a private university formerly located in Huron, South Dakota. Founded in 1883, it closed on April 1, 2005. History Founding What became Huron University was founded in 1883 as Presbyterian University of Southern Dakota, founded in Pierre while it was still in Dakota Territory. All Progressive Congress
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is one of the two major contemporary political parties in Nigeria, along with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Founded on 6 February 2013 from a merger of Nigeria's three largest opposition parties, the party came to power following the victory of party candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the 2015 presidential election. This marked the first time in Nigerian history that an opposition party unseated a governing party and power was transferred peacefully. Emmanuel Uduaghan
Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan (born 22 October 1954) was the Governor of Delta State from 2007 to 2015. He assumed office via an inconclusive election on 29 May 2007 and was a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Seme Border
Seme Border is a settlement in Nigeria on the border with Benin, thirty minutes drive from Badagry on the coastal road between Lagos and Cotonou. Seme is a part of Badagry Division of Lagos State. With the present political division in the state, it is under Badagry -West Local council development area (LCDA). A new multilateral facility for the border post was formally opened on 23 October 2018. At least three times in the 2005-2009 period violence has broken out in the border town, with fatal consequences. It is reportedly a regular occurrence for Nigerian officials to harass travelers for money at the border or at checkpoints along the road leading from the border. The drive time between Badagry and Seme border has been tripled by the presence of these illegal checkpoints instituted to extort travelers. Gideon Orkar
Major Gideon Gwaza Orkar (October 4, 1952 - July 27, 1990) was a Nigerian military officer who staged a violent coup against the government of General Ibrahim Babangida on April 22, 1990. Orkar and his conspirators seized the FRCN radio station, various military posts around Lagos and the Dodan Barracks, Lagos, the military headquarters and presidential Villa.
