Grand View Christian School
Grand View Christian School is a private Christian school located in Des Moines, Iowa. Enrollment for the school is at 530 in preschool-12th grade. The high school has about 128 high school students. Founding The school began following the closure of Grandview Park Baptist School, affiliated with Grandview Park Baptist Church, in spring 2014. The objective of the founding group was to open a reorganized school under new administration and leadership for the academic year, beginning August 18, 2014, while maintaining and expanding the school's Christian heritage and its programmatic and academic standing. Bluegrass Conference (Iowa)
The Bluegrass Conference is a high school sports league in Iowa. Located in South-central Iowa, the conference is home to some of the smallest schools in the state, including three of the smallest public schools in Iowa (Orient-Macksburg, Diagonal, and Moulton-Udell). Members History The conference originated before 1960. Some of the members in the early days included Osceola, Bedford, Mount Ayr, Lamoni, Seymour, Corydon, and Leon. Lenox and Mormon Trail of Humeston joined the conference in 1960, as Osceola departed. In 1962, four schools left the conference to join the newly formed Tall Corn Conference. Grandview Park Baptist School
Grandview Park Baptist School was a school located on the east side of Des Moines, Iowa, in the United States which offered a traditional style of education. It was a private school serving the community and affiliated with the adjacent Grandview Park Baptist Church on the east side of Des Moines. The school began classes in 1972 with 78 students in grades K-6. The school quickly grew to over 530 students in grades K-12. Bible courses were taught at every level of the school and a Biblical world view was instructed throughout each subject & course. The school also had a noted drama program which produced quality plays and presentations each year open to the public. Sports The school's team name was the Grandview Defenders and the school's football program made it to the state playoffs twice in its first six years.
