Gran Enciclopedia Aragonesa
The ''Gran Enciclopedia Aragonesa'' (''Great Aragonese Encyclopedia'', commonly abbreviated ''GEA'') is a Spanish language, Aragon-themed, encyclopedia. It was first published in 1981, under the direction of Eloy Fernández Clemente. In 1999, Prensa Diaria Aragonesa SA, the editor of the newspaper ''El Periódico de Aragón ''El Periódico de Aragón'' is an Aragonese daily newspaper, founded in Zaragoza, on 23 October 1990 by Juancho Dumall. It is published by the Grupo Zeta and whose information focuses primarily on Section Aragon, Opinion and Sports. History '' ...'' acquired the rights to the encyclopedia and published a new edition the following year, selling over 8,000 copies. They added an appendix in 2003. Eloy Fernández Clemente
Eloy Fernández Clemente (13 December 1942 – 17 December 2022) was a Spanish economist and historian. Biography Born in the town of Andorra, in Aragón, Fernández Clemente was the founder and director of the Andalán magazine (1972–1977 and 1982–1987), and also directed the Great Aragonese Encyclopedia (1978–1982). He was part of the founding nucleus of the Socialist Party of Aragon (PSA). He was a professor of Economic History at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Zaragoza, of which he was dean from 1996 to 1999. Fernández Clemente died in Zaragoza on 17 December 2022, at the age of 80. ''El Periódico de Aragón'' is an Aragonese daily newspaper, founded in Zaragoza, on 23 October 1990 by Juancho Dumall. It is published by the Grupo Zeta and whose information focuses primarily on Section Aragon, Opinion and Sports. History ''El Periódico de Aragón'' was born on 23 October 1990 and soon began to establish itself as the second largest newspaper in the community just behind the ''Heraldo de Aragón''. In 1997 opened a facility in central Newspaper Aragon in Zaragoza Street Hernán Cortés. The current director of the newspaper is Jaime Armengol, which replaced in 2003 Michelangelo Smooth, director since 1992. This replaced Dumall Juancho (primary responsibility of the newspaper).
