Mixed martial arts career Early career Yamashita started his professional career in 2010. Except for his first bout, he fought only for Shooto. Yamashita faced Yuki Okano on December 18, 2011 at ''Shooto: The Rookie Tournament 2011 Final'' for Shooto middleweight (168 lb) rookie title.
