Gorokan, New South Wales
Gorokan is a List of Central Coast suburbs, suburb of the Central Coast (New South Wales), Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Local government areas of New South Wales, local government area. The word "Gorokan" means "The Morning Dawn" from the language of the Awabakal (an Aboriginal tribe). There are two schools in the area, Gorokan Public School and Gorokan High School. Electricity was first brought to the area as a part of a £42,000 programme for electricity reticulation under the Brisbane Water County Council. Located on the shores of Lake Tuggerah, Gorokan has long been a holiday destination with the Quoy family first buying land in the area in 1923 where they built and rented a series of holiday homes. Central Coast (New South Wales)
The Central Coast is a peri-urban region in New South Wales, Australia, lying on the Tasman Sea coast to the north of Sydney and south of Newcastle. The local government area of the Central Coast Council has an estimated population of 333,627 as of June 2018, growing by 1% annually. Comprising localities such as Gosford, Wyong and Terrigal, the area is the third-largest urban area in New South Wales and the ninth-largest urban area in Australia. Electoral District Of Wyong
Wyong is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. The district is a 640.55 km² urban and semi-rural electorate on the Central Coast. It covers part of Central Coast Council, including the towns of Wyong and Toukley. History Wyong was originally established in 1962. In 1973, it was replaced by Munmorah and a redistricted Gosford. The Tuggerah Lakes, a wetland system of three interconnected coastal lagoons, are located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia and comprise Lake Munmorah, Budgewoi Lake and Tuggerah Lake. Toukley is a town in the Central Coast region of the Australian state of New South Wales and is located within . It lies approximately 107 km north of Sydney via the M1.
