''Gone with the West'' is a 1975 American Western film starring James Caan and Stefanie Powers, directed by Bernard Girard. The film is also known as ''Little Moon & Jud McGraw'' in Australia and ''Little Moon and Jud McGraw'' (American reissue title). It was filmed in 1969 under the title ''Man Without Mercy'' but did not find a cinema release.p. 20 ''Motion Picture Herald'', Volume 239 Quigley Publishing Company, 1969 Plot The movie begins with a screenwriter driving out into the desert and meeting up with an old timer who spins him a tale of the Old West: Jud McGraw is a stagecoach driver who gets robbed by a gang led by Nimmo. He then gets blamed for stealing the gold. Nimmo also burns his farm and kills his wife and son. When McGraw is released from prison, he finds the town Nimmo rules. Bernard Girard
Bernard Girard (February 22, 1918 – December 30, 1997) was an American screenwriter, producer and film director. Life and career A native of Vallejo, Girard served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. He was nominated for an Emmy at the 9th Primetime Emmy Awards for Best Public Service Series ( You Are There). Girard died December 30, 1997, at age 79. Girard is survived by his wife, Linda, and three sons. Mike Lane
Michael V. Lane (January 6, 1933 – June 1, 2015) was an American actor and professional wrestler. Biography Lane's size (height 6'8" or 2.03 m, weight 275 lbs or 125 kg) led him to work in the King Bros. Circus boxing tent and wrestling tent. He also wrestled professionally under the name "Tarzan Mike" in 1952–1959. While filming ''The Harder They Fall'', Lane was given dramatic and boxing lessons to appear as the giant Toro Moreno, an outclassed boxer based on Primo Carnera. Lane made numerous television appearances including a role as a country bumpkin who gets talked into boxing by Bret Maverick (James Garner) and Dandy Jim Buckley (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) in an epic 1957 episode of ''Maverick'' entitled "Stampede." James McHale
James McHale is an Australian journalist and news presenter. Career McHale graduated from Murdoch University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Laws/Media, majoring in Radio. After completing his degree, he worked at Clayton Utz in 2007 and 2008. In February 2009, McHale joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where he worked as a reporter. Noel Drayton (October 7, 1913 – December 7, 1981) was an actor who remains perhaps best known for playing supporting roles in Hollywood films like ''Elephant Walk'', ''The Court Jester'', ''Plymouth Adventure'' and ''Botany Bay'' during the 1950s.
