Gold Souk Grande, Kochi
Gold Souk Grande was a shopping mall located in the Vytilla area of Kochi, India. The mall covered an area of approximately 500,000 square feet, spread over five levels. It was opened to the public in March 2011, and subsequently, lost traction over the years and slowly neared its closure in the late 2010s and 2020s. The mall was part of the portfolio of properties owned and managed by the Gold Souk group, which has established several malls in various cities across India. At the time of its inauguration, Gold Souk Grande was considered the largest mall in Kerala, featuring a collection of over 200 national and international brands. Gold Souk Grande offered apparel, electronics, and lifestyle products. The mall also included food courts, entertainment zones, and multiplex cinemas. National Highway 66 (India)
National Highway 66, commonly referred to as NH 66 (erstwhile NH-17 and a part of NH-47), is a mostly 4 lane long busy National Highway that runs roughly north–south along the western coast of India, parallel to the Western Ghats. It connects Panvel (a city south of Mumbai) to Cape Comorin (Kanyakumari), passing through the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The highway is undergoing a major overhaul in Karnataka, where the state government has accepted the NHAI's request of international standard, 60-metre-wide national highway with grade separators. The complete stretch from the Goa border (near Karwar) to the Kerala border (near Talapady) is being widened to four lanes, with space to accommodate future expansion to six lanes. Vytilla
Vyttila, , is an intersection as well as the name of a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is the busiest as well as one of the largest intersections in Kerala. This node intersects the main north–south artery of the state of ''Kerala'', namely, the Kochi Bypass, with three city roads of ''Kochi'' viz, the S. A. Road (One of the city's most prominent arterial road in the east–west direction), the ''Vyttila-Petta Road'', and the ''Thammanam Road''. The name ''Vyttila'' is said to be evolved from the word "Vayal Thala" meaning the main part of the paddy field. Once the area including Elamkulam, were paddy fields and paddy cultivation were the main sources of income. The paddy field existed from Ernakulam, Girinagar, Panampilly Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Kumarananshan Nagar and extended to Kaniyampuzha and Panamkutyy bridge.
