Gold Coast Music Awards
The Gold Coast Music Awards is an annual awards night celebrating the Australian music industry based in the Gold Coast. Founded in 2015 by Samantha Morris, Chloe Popa and Amanda Gorman, the awards are produced by the Gold Coast Music Network, with support from City of Gold Coast and Major Events Gold Coast. 2021's finalists were announced in August 2021, with the awards held on September 4. The People's Choice Award was opened to public voting on 19 August, with all finalists automatically nominated. Categories Current Since 2015 the categories have evolved. The Gold Coast is a coastal city in the state of Queensland, Australia, approximately south-southeast of the centre of the state capital Brisbane. The City of Gold Coast is the local government area spanning the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia and surrounding areas. Ian Peres
Ian Peres is an Australian rock musician and multi-instrumentalist. He is the bassist and keyboardist of the hard rock band Wolfmother. Peres joined the band in January 2009 as Andrew Stockdale found new members after Chris Ross and Myles Heskett quit in 2008. Tijuana Cartel are an electronic music group from Gold Coast, Australia. They have described their sound as electronic music with a world music element. The group formed in 2003, taking their name from the movie ''Traffic''. Busby Marou (pronounced buz-bee ma-roo) are an Australian musical duo originally from Rockhampton, Queensland.
