Goal (2018 Film)
''Goal'' ( si, ගෝල්) is a 2018 Sri Lankan Sinhala children's film directed by Rohan Perera and produced by Susara Dinal for Maharaja Entertainments as a Sirasa Movie. It stars Jayalath Manoratne and Chandani Seneviratne in lead roles along with Anula Bulathsinhala and Kaushalya Fernando. Music composed by Suresh Maliyadde. It is the 1309th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. Plot The film revolves around a bunch of talented boys in a very remote school Millawitiya Junior School in Kaluwara Eliya. The fate of the children changes when new coming teacher, Samarasekara Sir (played by Manoratne) introduces them to football, an alien game to the children until that point. Reluctant at first, the kids slowly get into the game. The adults are unsure at first, saying it a waste of time, but as the kids begin to improve and their enthusiasm growing, they support them. Jayalath Manoratne
Kala Suri Kala Keerthi Dr. Keselgaspe Manatunga Jayalath Manoratne ( si, කෙසෙල්ගස්පේ මනතුංග ජයලත් මනෝරත්න; 12 June 1948 – 12 January 2020), popularly known as Jayalath Manoratne, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, stage drama and television. He was a lecturer by profession as well as a director and producer. A highly versatile actor from drama to comedy, Manoratne won awards at OCIC (International Catholic Organization for Cinema and Audiovisual), Presidential, Sarasaviya, Raigam Tele'es, Sumathi and the State Literary and Drama festivals. He was the best actor back to back in 1991 and 1992 for his performance in ''Socrates'' and ''Dvitva''. He is considered by critics as one of the five actors who have dominated the Sri Lankan Stage. Presidential Film Awards is a film award ceremony held in Sri Lanka. It is organized by the National Film Corporation along with the Presidential Secretariat and the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. It was 1st awards in 1979 by President J. R. Jayewardene, and continue till 2004. The awards were not held from 2005 to 2014 when Mahinda Rajapakse was president. Kasun Kalhara Jayawardhana ( Sinhala: කසුන් කල්හාර ජයවර්ධන ) (born 3 November 1981), known professionally as Kasun Kalhara, is a Sri Lankan singer, musician, vocal coach and record producer. During his musical career, Kasun has released three albums, ''Haritha Nimnaye'', ''Radical Premaya'' and ''Romantic Opera''. He is one of the biggest and best-selling music artists in Sri Lanka. Biography Kasun was born in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka on 3 November 1981. His mother, Malani Bulathsinhala, was a veteran vocalist and his father H. M. Jayawardena was a renowned composer.
