''Glory Hope Mountain'' is a concept album by Canadian indie folk band The Acorn, released 25 September 2007 on Paper Bag Records. It is their second full-length. The album was recorded and produced by Jarrett Bartlett. Several members of Toronto-based indie pop band Ohbijou are credited with playing instruments and additional recording on the album. The Acorn (band)
The Acorn is the music project of singer-songwriter and musician Rolf-Carlos Klausener formed in Ottawa, Ontario in 2003. Their music spanned numerous genres, from art-folk and indie, to minimal electro and folk-rock, and members played with numerous other bands. Their songs have charted on Canadian campus charts and have been in rotation on CBC Radio 3 and The Verge. History Rolf Klausener, the principal songwriter, vocalist and guitarist, founded the band as a solo project, but was soon joined by guitarist Howie Tsui, bassist Jeff Debutte and drummer Jeffrey Malecki. They were quickly signed to Kelp Records, and produced the 2004 album ''The Pink Ghosts''. A concept album is an album whose tracks hold a larger purpose or meaning collectively than they do individually. This is typically achieved through a single central narrative or theme, which can be instrumental, compositional, or lyrical. Honduras

Casey Mecija is a multi-disciplinary artist, academic and musician. She is active in Toronto's music and cultural scene. Early life Casey Mecija was born and raised in Brantford, Ontario. She is of Filipino descent. Mecija has been based in Toronto, Ontario since moving there to attend university. Career Casey Mecija joined the Department of Communication & Media Studies at York University as an Assistant Professor in August 2020. She holds a PhD from the University of Toronto. Before arriving to academia, she was (and remains) involved in music scenes and multi-disciplinary arts. In the mid 2000s, Mecija contributed to turning her home on Bellwoods Avenue into a community hub for young artists and musicians. Ohbijou was a Canadian indie pop band that was based in Toronto, Ontario. The music of Ohbijou draws on pop, folk and bluegrass influences. Indie Folk
Indie folk is a music genre that arose in the 1990s among musicians from indie rock scenes influenced by folk music. Indie folk hybridizes the acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation. The genre has its earliest origins in 1990s folk artists who displayed alternative rock influences in their music, such as Ani DiFranco and Dan Bern, and acoustic artists such as Elliott Smith and Will Oldham.
