Gjørv Report
The Gjørv Report (''Gjørv-rapporten'' or ''NOU 2012: 14, Rapport fra 22. juli-kommisjonen'') is a report that was ordered by Norway's parliament, as a consequence of the 2011 Oslo bombing and the following Utøya massacre. The report was delivered to Norway's prime minister, Jens Stoltenberg, on 13 August 2012, one year after the establishment of the "22 July" fact finding commission headed by Alexandra Bech Gjørv. The report found that the Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) were aware of Anders Behring Breivik purchasing material components that could be used to produce a bomb, however, intelligence services failed to add Breivik to a watch list to further monitor his activities, the report also cites a "lack of prepardness" by the Norwegian Police Service to locate and mobilize adequate transportation leading to a response time delay for police and rescue operations attempting to gain acess to Utøya Island. 2011 Norway Attacks
The 2011 Norway attacks, referred to in Norway as 22 July ( no, 22. juli) or as 22/7, were two domestic terrorist attacks by neo-Nazi Anders Behring Breivik against the government, the civilian population, and a Workers' Youth League (AUF) summer camp, in which 77 people were killed. The first attack was a car bomb explosion in Oslo within Regjeringskvartalet, the executive government quarter of Norway, at 15:25:22 (CEST). The bomb was placed inside a van next to the tower block housing the office of the then Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. The explosion killed eight people and injured at least 209 people, twelve severely. The second attack occurred less than two hours later at a summer camp on the island of Utøya in Tyrifjorden, Viken (former Buskerud). Jens Stoltenberg
Jens Stoltenberg (born 16 March 1959) is a Norwegian politician who has been serving as the 13th secretary general of NATO since 2014. A member of the Norwegian Labour Party, he previously served as the 34th prime minister of Norway from 2000 to 2001, and again from 2005 until 2013. Born in Oslo as the son of the prominent diplomat and politician Thorvald Stoltenberg and Karin Stoltenberg (née Heiberg), Stoltenberg attended Oslo Waldorf School and Oslo Cathedral School before graduating with a degree in economics from the University of Oslo in 1987. Alexandra Bech Gjørv
Alexandra Bech Gjørv (born 13 September 1965) is a Norwegian lawyer and businesswoman. She is the daughter of journalist Toppen Bech, and a daughter-in-law of politician Inger Lise Gjørv. She was assigned with Norsk Hydro from 1993 to 2007, and with Statoil from 2007 to 2010. She chaired the governmental commission appointed after the 2011 Norway attacks, which presented their findings in the Gjørv Report. In 2015 she became the chief executive of SINTEF. Anders Behring Breivik
Fjotolf Hansen (born 13 February 1979), better known by his birth name Anders Behring Breivik () and by his pseudonym Andrew Berwick, is a Norwegian far-right domestic terrorist, known for committing the 2011 Norway attacks on 22 July 2011. On that day, he killed eight people by detonating a van bomb at Regjeringskvartalet in Oslo, then killed 69 participants of a Workers' Youth League (AUF) summer camp in a mass shooting on the island of Utøya. Breivik's trial was held in 2012. After being found psychologically competent to stand trial, in July 2012, he was found guilty of mass murder, causing a fatal explosion, and terrorism. Norwegian Police Service
The Norwegian Police Service ( no, Politi- og lensmannsetaten) is the Norwegian national civilian police agency. The service dates to the 13th century when the first sheriffs were appointed, and the current structure established in 2003.
