Gita Cinta Dari SMA
''Gita Cinta dari SMA'' (''Love Song in High School'') is a 1979 Indonesian film directed by Arizal and starring Rano Karno and Yessi Gusman. Plot Galih (Rano Karno) and Ratna (Yessi Gusman) are two high school students who excel at everything they do; they are popular and receive good grades. Soon they begin falling in love. Despite Ratna's father objecting to their relationship, they continue to meet in secret. When Ratna's father finds out, he attempts to arrange for her to marry someone else. With Ratna receiving support from the other female members of her family, this fails; Ratna and Galih are able to continue dating. Production ''Gita Cinta dari SMA'' was based on Eddy D. Iskandar's 1978 novel of the same name. Rano Karno and Yessi Gusman were cast as Galih and Ratna, respectively; such was their chemistry that after the release of the film rumours circulated that the two were dating. Arizal (born in Airmolek, Indragiri, Riau on January 11, 1943 - died on May 18, 2014) was a prominent Indonesian film director. Career His parents, Ibrahim Sidi Mangkuto and Matayam bt M. Yasin, were of Minangkabau descent. He studied at the Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia. Arizal is one of Indonesia's most productive film directors and script writers. He directed 52 films and 8 soap operas (''sinetron'') with 1,196 episodes between 1974 and 2006. He directed the comedy film series of Warkop DKI. In the 1980s, his work brought success to Yessy Gusman, Rano Karno, Yenny Rachman, Roy Marten and Lydia Kandou as famous artists. Ismail Marzuki Park, (Indonesian: Taman Ismail Marzuki, TIM), is an arts, cultural, and science center located at Cikini in Jakarta, Indonesia. Dian Hadipranowo (born 2 August 1965), better known as Dian HP, is an Indonesian composer. Biography Dian was born in Tunis on 2 August 1965 to a diplomat and his wife. As a toddler, she would eat her meals near the family piano and play her own tunes; she reportedly would not eat unless she was near it. Growing up in Germany, she later studied the piano at the music school in Bad Godesberg, Bonn. Her father would also take her to concerts and other musical venues. However, she also considered becoming a kindergarten teacher. Dian returned to Indonesia in the late 1970s, soon enrolling at the Jakarta Art Institute; during the same period she taught jazz to Indra Lesmana. Rano Karno (born 8 October 1960) is an Indonesian actor and politician. From his acting career he is known for starring in the 1979 film '' Gita Cinta dari SMA''. On 30 October 2011 he was elected Deputy Governor of Banten. He has served as acting Governor of Banten since 14 May 2014. Biography Karno was born on 8 October 1960 in Jakarta, the son of actor Soekarno M. Noer and Lily Istiarti Soekarno, and grew up in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. It was his fourth studio album and the third with Musica Studios.
