Ginny Hasselfield
Ginny Hasselfield is a Canadian politician, and was the leader of the Manitoba Liberal Party between 1996 and 1998. A former Manitoba teacher and principal, she was also president and co-founder of Cross Cultural Communications International Inc. a company that provided diversity training and education throughout Canada. In 1995, she was awarded the Manitoba YM/YWCA Woman of Distinction award. Although Hasselfield had never run for provincial office, she was known in Manitoba as a prominent organizer for the Liberal Party and was supported by the party's establishment against Kevin Lamoureux, a maverick MLA from north-end Winnipeg. Hasselfield and Lamoureux had a very poor personal relationship during the 1996 leadership contest. Kevin Lamoureux (born January 22, 1962) is a politician in Manitoba, Canada. On November 29, 2010, he was elected to the House of Commons of Canada for the constituency of Winnipeg North in a by-election. He was re-elected during the 2011 election by a margin of just 44 votes. Gary Kowalski (politician)
Gary Anthony Kowalski (born August 9, 1952) is a former politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was a member of the Manitoba legislature from 1993 to 1999, sitting for most of that time as a Liberal Party of Manitoba, Liberal. The son of Tony Kowalski and Olga Kolczycki, he was born in Winnipeg and worked as a police officer in the ''Winnipeg Police Department'' before entering public life, serving from 1974 to 1993. He received a ''Canada 125th Medal'' in 1992, and was elected as a trustee on the ''Seven Oaks School Division'' in September of the same year. In 1976, he married Ellen Joy Michie. Neil Gaudry (September 19, 1937 – February 18, 1999) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1988 until his death, sitting as a Liberal. The son of Véronique Chartrand and Ernest Gaudry, he was born in St. Laurent, Manitoba and was educated there. In 1962, he married Leona Rainville. Before entering public life, Gaudry worked as an accountant and office manager.
