Gianni De Fraja
Gianni De Fraja is a professor of economics at the University of Nottingham, England and a Research Fellow (CEPR). He was born in Bologna, where he spent the first five years of his life, before moving to Bassano del Grappa and then on to Mestre, near Venice, where he lived until he was eighteen. He attended SSSUP college in Pisa from which he graduated in 1982. He then moved to a house near the Chianti Hills near Vagliagli where he took his doctorate at Siena with a thesis on Game Theory. After a year in Siena he was encouraged by his teachers to go abroad and so went to England, to Linacre College, Oxford. Gianni Pettenati (born in Piacenza, Italy on 29 October 1945) is an Italian singer and musical critic. He is most famous for his Italian cover versions of great international hits. He is also the author of plays and books on the history of Italian music. Career Gianni Pettenati started very early winning a music contest when he was 8 years old and acted in a play Pirandello. In April 1965 he won the Festival di Bellaria, then joined a group called the Juniors in 1966 to record "Come una pietra che rotola", a cover version of "Like a Rollin 'Stone originally by Bob Dylan. This was followed by "Il superuomo" again with the Juniors, this time a cover of "Sunshine Superman" by Donovan, with the B-side being "Puoi farmi piangere", a cover of " I Put a Spell on You" from Screamin' Jay Hawkins". Gianni Motta (born 13 March 1943) is an Italian former bicycle racer who won the 1966 Giro d'Italia. Gianni Motta was born at Cassano d'Adda (Lombardy). His main victories include the Giro d'Italia (1966), a Giro di Lombardia (1964), a Tour de Suisse (1967) and two Tour de Romandie (1966, 1971). Like many before him, he turned to manufacture and sales of bicycles after his racing career. While at in 1968 Motta tested positive for a banned substance and his results in the 1968 Giro d'Italia were removed. Gianni Morbidelli (born 13 January 1968) is an Italian racing driver. He participated in 70 Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 11 March 1990. Gianni Morandi (; born 11 December 1944) is an Italian pop singer, actor and entertainer. Early life Gian Luigi Morandi was born in a little village called Monghidoro on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. His father Renato was active within the Italian Communist Party and Gianni used to help him sell the party newspapers.
