Gianluigi Porelli
Gianluigi "Gigi" Porelli (10 June 1930 – 4 September 2009) was an Italian basketball executive, who served as president of Virtus Bologna from 1968 until 1991. Porelli has been widely regarded as one of the greatest contributors to the growth and development of basketball in Italy and Europe. In 2007, he was inducted into the Italian Basketball Hall of Fame. Early life Gianluigi Porelli was born in Mantua in 1930. In his youth he practiced swimming, boxing and, above all, tennis, in which he achieved good results, reaching the third category. Arrived in Bologna in 1949 to attend the Faculty of Law at the University of Bologna, he joined Virtus Tennis, a branch of SEF Virtus Bologna, first as a player and later as a manager. The Italian basketball league system or Italian basketball league pyramid, is a series of interconnected competitions for professional basketball clubs in Italy. The 1974 NBA draft was the 28th annual NBA Draft, draft of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The draft was held on May 28, 1974, before the 1974–75 NBA season, 1974–75 season. The Buffalo Braves were an American professional basketball franchise based in Buffalo, New York. The Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team represents the University of Maryland in National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I competition. Maryland, a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), left the ACC in 2014 to join the Big Ten Conference. Tom McMillen
Charles Thomas McMillen (born May 26, 1952) is an American politician, businessman, and retired professional basketball player. A Rhodes Scholar, McMillen represented Maryland's 4th congressional district from January 3, 1987 to January 3, 1993. On March 22, 2011, he was appointed as chairman of the inaugural Board of Directors of the President's Foundation on Sports, Physical Fitness, and Nutrition. Daniel Lowell Peterson (born January 9, 1936) is a former American professional basketball head coach. He resigned from his most recent position as the head coach of Olimpia Milano in the Italian LBA after the team was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 2011 Italian league playoffs. The team then announced that he would assume another role with the club. He is nicknamed "The Coach" for his legacy in Italian basketball.
