Gervase Peterson
Gervase Peterson (; born November 2, 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American television personality and actor who was a contestant on '' Survivor: Borneo'', the first edition of the popular CBS reality television series '' Survivor'', which premiered in May 2000, and was the highest rated American series during the summer of that year. He came in seventh place. Peterson returned in 2013 to compete on '' Survivor: Blood vs. Water'' and ultimately ended up in the finals, finishing third place with zero jury votes. Albany Patroons
The Albany Patroons are a professional basketball team that plays in The Basketball League (TBL). Previously, the team competed in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and in the United States Basketball League (USBL). The Patroons won CBA championships in 1984 and 1988 as well as a TBL championship in 2019. Formed in 1982, the Patroons' original home arena was the Washington Avenue Armory, a former New York National Guard armory. The team later moved from this location to MVP Arena, then known as the Knickerbocker Arena. The franchise was renamed the Capital Region Pontiacs in 1992 and was relocated to Connecticut in 1993. The Patroons rejoined the CBA in 2005. When the CBA ceased its operations in 2009, the team went defunct. The United States Basketball League (USBL) was a professional men's spring basketball league. The league was formed in 1985 and ceased operations in 2008. The USBL started in 1985 as one of the first basketball leagues to play a late-spring to early-summer schedule. The league quickly became known as a development league for players, with many players moving up to the National Basketball Association, NBA and many more playing in Europe after stints here. In 1996, the league made a stock offering, a rarity among sports leagues. However, in later years, the league declined as rival leagues appeared and USBL had a tougher time replacing teams that folded. ''Battle of the Network Stars'' is a series of competitions in which television stars from ABC, CBS and NBC would compete in various sporting events. A total of 19 of these competitions were held between 1976 and 1988, all of which were aired by ABC. In 2003, NBC attempted to revive ''Battle of the Network Stars'' with a two-hour special. In 2005, Bravo premiered a revived version of the show named ''Battle of the Network Reality Stars''. It was filmed during the E! behind-the-scenes reality show '' Kill Reality''. The film is about a woman who awakes one night to find her fiance in bed with her best friend.
